If you're looking for something to listen to on a long drive that is more insightful, rewarding and informative than Talksport, I recommend ploughing your car into a badger and listening to its ribcage crack under your wheels.

Robbie Savage on 606 Radio 5 Live?

Ian Wright on Radio 5?
Ian Wright on Absolute? (Perry Groves is quite good for an ex-player insight)

The tabloid journos on Sunday mornings on Sky talking about Van Haal/Jose/Roman/Wenger/Man City on repeat?

If you ever get the chance to listen to Dietmar Hamann on TS, he's quite good. So is Danny Murphy.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

radio 5 live if you want news , radio6 if you want good music . I was a fan of xfm from when it started that's now gone down hill with the rebrand ,Vernon kay and chris moyles . johnny Vaughn is funny though don't mind him

I work nights so i get to listen to the 'Two Mikes show' between 1 and 4,it usually ends up with the two of them shouting and hurling abuse at each other.
It can be quite interesting and amusing at times, especially when they start telling stories about some of the escapades they got up to when they were newspaper journos back in the day.

Thanks for letting me know, even more reason not to bother wasting my time. I lived in German some years ago and the sports radio programs were all factual with proper interviews that lasted at least 30mins. TS seems to use 95% filler which has nothing to do with sport at all and again, all the screaming like spoiled children is just an embarrassment, the main reason I switched it off.

They hate Palace. They hardly ever mention us and when they do they're generally negative about us. Anybody who rings in to talk about us presumably doesn't get put through because all we ever get is United this, Citeh that, Arsenal the other and molesworth, do you think the bin dipers are eny good eh?

Sh!te.

Collymore is shocking though.

Edgeways, Word and Never.

He takes himself so seriously that you would swear he has found the cure for cancer. It's football. Calm down.

Try podcasts. Guardian Football Weekly and The Football Ramble.

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

Loved XFM. Will never call it radio X. Moyles I could hurt and look for excuses after. Might have to go Radio 6 a bit.

A great student of the game. A while back Martin Tyler expressed the view that he would be a manager in the future.

I listen to it everyday and due to my shifts I get a chance to listen to every show over a 2 week period. Can't stand hawksbee and jacobs, the latter being the most bias Chelsea supporter I've ever heard. The two mikes are amusing, Mike parry I think is hilarious and thought he was brilliant on the breakfast show years back with Alan Brazil. Collymore in my opinion is one of the most enthusiastic football pundits about and always speaks highly of his time at palace! Danny kelly, goldstein and cundy are always worth a listen.Ray parlour and Danny Murphy also very good to listen to.

Overall I enjoy it but the adverts are worse than terrible!!
