My first reaction to the details made public was that they should not have been. Think if it were my daughter I would not want to know - or have published - the details of her torture and death. The family were told the details because he'd bragged to another inmate about it, who was about to be released, so the OB told the family in case it leaked out and they heard from the media. They then decided to make some of the details public to emphasise what an utterly disgusting and hateful human being Bellfield is. I think he did it deliberately to hurt the family more. What happened in court where he dragged it out as long as possible and managed to make public many private aspects of the parents' lives was designed to inflict maximum pain on them. That he would only tell female police the details is another example of his wish to shock and hurt, imo. This is one of the sickest individuals I've ever heard of and he committed many similar crimes. No punishment would be enough for someone like him. Edited by Seth (11 Feb 2016 12.55pm)

Edited by Seth (11 Feb 2016 12.55pm) Definitely the case. Its the last real source of pleasure left to him. People like him don't have empathy for others, only for themselves and their own gratification. They're shallow, dull and insignificant creatures, driven by gratification and the desire for power / authority / submission that they believe they deserve. At best their personality is a façade that they smear over a hollow shell.

I assume that, because of the nature of his crimes, he's a Rule 45 prisoner and in the 'nonce wing'. Perhaps he could be 'accidently' left in one of the general facilities when other 'normal' prisoners have access? I understand that Peter Sutcliffe has been regularly sorted out at both Parkhurst and Broadmoor.

I think he's probably in Wakefield, which is generally full of the worst of the worst of the British penal system. Its known as 'the monster mansion' given that the worst of the worst end up there. Sutcliffe was stabbed in both eyes in Broadmoor, with pencils and got a boiling sugar burn attack in Parkhurst before that. The first wasn't a 'normal' prisoner, and the second I think was one of the Richardson's. People tend to focus on Bellfields attacks on Milly Dowler because she was a kid and it was so high profile a case, but forget that he committed two other brutal murders and attempted murder, on at least three other young women. Probably more.

Feel sure - well hope - that given the time prisoners have on their hands to think, plan, plot, that eventually someone will get him and cause him some real grief. Not the sought of thing I'd usually wish for but am making an exception for this evil bast*rd!
