Only saw yesterday's match. Really enjoyed it, some fierce tackling and both teams trying to play a bit. Priestland? I have no idea why he tried that drop goal, should have waited until a better phase and set himself up properly. Always good to get the first game out of the way and a draw isn't so terrible. Unlike ITV's coverage which was every bit as bad as expected.

Wasn't it just....people moan about the BBC or Brian Moore or Inverdale but they are head and shoulders above what ITV spewed up yesterday. I was impressed with Wales to be honest - they just stayed nice and calm when it would have been easier to panic (apart from RP drop goal attempt - I don't think Biggar would have done that) and of the two were probably the team who should have won it... Yep, ITV were predictably awful from their graphics to their comms, where no one had anything useful to say at scrum time. Even before this started I go with my standard England, Ireland, Wales, France, Scots/Italy

Glad that's over. It was a bit too close at the end.

So a weird weekend Ireland and France - could have gone anyway before hand and so it proved to be - instead of any free flowing Gallic flair v Irish physicality and mayhem it was just 80 mins of pretty tense and brutal fragmented rugby which France just edged - this isn't a great French team. Its not a great Ireland one either - they really miss POC. Scotland, as ever looked like they might, then ultimately couldn't and Wales, like last week, didn't panic but just waited their chances and took them. Better from Scotland but better doesn't win matches. England ragged for 40, excellent for 40...the young players off the bench making real impacts, the future is bright if nothing else On another note I watched my Wasps absolutely batter Sarries away at the weekend and in about 3 months Nathan Hughes qualifies for England...watch out Big Billy because I think Nathans better Edited by The Sash (15 Feb 2016 12.17pm) Edited by The Sash (15 Feb 2016 12.19pm)

Italy were unlucky with injuries. Now they finally have someone who can kick points they were able to stay in the game, until that moment of madness that is which totally deflated them. Combine that with 8 fresh England players and you end up with a scoreline looking like they were never in it.

They lack 'oomph' without him....someone to grab them all by the bollocks England were always going to win but I couldn't see the game plan for the 1st 40...2nd 40 all of a sudden intent, decisiveness and pattern to what they were doing. I think Mr Jones probably hair dryered the s***e out of them at half time

Glad we are playing on Friday which means I can watch the match against England. I am not as enthused as normal as I think the competition so far has been very poor and haven't seen a half of decent rugby. I have a feeling England will win. I will be really honest and say if either side can play a reasonable amount of exciting rugby I won't begrudge them the victory. We are so far behind the SH and I actually think the gap is widening.

Cant disagree with that...not exactly a lot of what you would call flair been on show yet has there

Perhaps I am getting old or perhaps we were a little spoilt by the World Cup but it really does seem poor this year.
