A sad day for broadcasting. Entertaining, witty often cutting, but never really malicious or spiteful, there is really no one on radio today who comes close to the fun and entertainment that Terry gave us over so many years. RIP Sir Terry.

A very sad day for broadcasting. We'll miss his wonderful humour. Good bye Sir Tel RIP.

Really enjoyed his breakfast show and always liked his char show. As Cucking said the Janet and John stories had me in stitches

Then I had the misfortune to deal with him and he was a total f***ing Arse. A fairly unpleasant man. It was very disappointing.

In fairness, you shouldn't have porked his Mrs.

Also helped raise millions for Children in Need by hosting the show on Pudsey Bear night, had to be a major reason why he pulled out at the last minute this year....now we know....RIP Sir Terry,a great broadcaster.

Very sad about this one. I used to absolutely love sitting there with a few beers and watching Eurovision unravel with Terry getting increasingly pissed and sarcastic. He was brilliant on the radio as well and needless to say raised millions for charity.

I never watched Eurovision and hardly watch Children in Need. I never listened to his radio show.

But this is none the less very sad news. Part of the fabric of the country for so long. Seemed to be a very nice man.

Thank you and farewell Sir Terry.

RIP.

A sad loss to those who liked him. I always found him a bit of a grump without any reposte. Not my cuppa.
