yup.
actually smelt worse than the real stuff.
on that subject, spliff used to smell ok(aaah,bisto as it was known, bit of red leb or black)
I hate the smell now.
bloody rotten.

Embassy then embassy no1 for me when i first started. There were some mint ones when i was at school but cant remember the name.

Rothmans tasted awful, marlboro took to skin off my throat.

Started smoking at school in early '60s. The local shop sold ANCHOR cigarettes - about 4" or 5" long. Wouls last for days!!

And when I went to sea used to use State Express 555 as currency. Only cost us 10/- (50p for you newbs) for 200 and a couple of packets could get you laid in loads of ports like Gdansk and Leningrad.

Invited to SP after Xmas 1969 by new stepfather and his best mate. Freezing cold and lost 5-1. Been a fan ever since!!!!

My mum used to smoke these (tipped)... they were mild in comparison to what my best friend's parents used to smoke (he was ex Navy)

Him - Capstan Full Strength (untipped)
Her - Players Navy Cut (untipped)

They both died in their 50's of cancer sadly... probably not realising the fags had done the damage. I breathed in a lot of their passive smoke playing brag/poker round their house till the early hours most weekends!
