I can't help thinking if he were that good Scotland would be going to France.

And what of ten other players in the squad?

Same problem as us. No effective strikers.

I'd be delighted if we signed Leigh Griffiths although I'm slightly biased by being a Hibs fan. He was immense for us when we had him on loan and it grates every time I see him in a celtic top.

But trying looking at this objectively, I think he'd be a good signing. He's direct, a great finisher, very good technically, and has a great scoring record (albeit in a sh*te league). He's also grown up a lot in recent years and seems to have learnt from his mistakes.

Signing him wouldn't solve all our problems but we'd probably get him for £2mn odd which seems like good value relative to £8mn for Wickham. If still hope we sign a proven striker like Remy as well although doing so is still difficult.

Not fussed about Commons. Used to be ok but no better than Mutch or Lee. Hope someone else buys him to annoy Celtic fans though.

My dad saw Griffiths at Hibs and he was impressed by him and he is banging them in for Celtic. Could do a job in the premier for us

Johnny will return

Hat-trick tonight in Celtic's 8 - 1 demolition of Hamilton Academicals. Not much evidence against decent opposition though.

Quite. The standard of even SPL football up here has to be seen to be believed.

Out of all the strikers being linked with us, Leigh Griffiths is easily my most wanted.

I'm a Dwight Gayle fan and I hope we hold on to him. He's supposedly the best finisher at the club. But Leigh Griffiths looks even better at it!

Okay its a youtube compilation and its in the SPL , I know. But when you can find the net that comprehensibly and that frequently....

...well, just imagine if he did it in the red and blue.

I didn't see the gemme but seemingly Accies were so completely toilet that Celtic had as many decent chances again, and ought to have won about 15-0; but the Accies goalie unlike the other ten men actually acquitted himself well under continuous barrage and behind a monumentally incompetent defence.

And on what evidence do you base that faceless opinion?

Why the 'french connection' would he want to lower his aspirations by signing for Brighton? Celtic experience in Europe as opposed to Palace to date - anybody?
