Seeing as how no Londoner would take the tube rather than walking that distance, it's a tax on stoopid tourists. What's not to like?

One thing they could bring in is transfers on buses, like they have in the USA, so you could transfer from one bus to another within say 60 mins without paying another fare. Also, make off-peak travel a lot cheaper to encourage people to use trains then.
