For 6 months ? If it's a possibility, then that would be a great deal. Only trouble would be if he scored an absolute hatful and then the board felt compelled to give him a big contract.
"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017. |

My feeling is 'God No.' If it were to happen, could we please get him 1st January with the option to abort after 3 weeks so there's still time left to get someone else in if he turns out to be a bellend.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

If he is fit and ready to go I would have him until the end of the season, then re assess.

No to a player who is still on £100k per week for Spurs and who hasn't played first team football in ages. He certainly has time on his hands in more ways than one:

anyone remember 12/13 season when we signed Dindane who wasn't match fit and didn't ever end up finding match fitness either!

That looks like someone who's happier being paid £100k per week for doing sod all than someone who's going to bang in lots of goals for Palace. His wages will offset the lack of a transfer fee.

I think this would be a risk worth taking. Spurs are still picking up the bill to the tune of 100k for his wages. As people have said, motivated he is a machine, scores all types of goals and is a class player and a short term deal would suit us down to the ground. Also people have said how bad it is to buy in Jan. Prices are inflated as teams know you are desperate and their isnt a pre-season for players to bed in so the pressure is on a big money signing from the get go. Let's put it into context, say Wickham gets injured again for a period of time, would you want our options to be Gayle or Campbell upfront or Adebayor?
