Be very interesting to see what the senatnce is. Although he's been found guilty I bet the appeal of the appeal is already being inked.

Plus I reckon they will come up with w***y sentance that means he will probs only do a few more years.

Not sure Dan. The minimum is 15 years, which the judge can reduce - but he needs a fecking good reason to do so. I think it's the same with appeals in S.A. - there needs to be a credible reason or it's not entertained (unlike the U.K. where you can launch an appeal if a jury member was wearing false nails without declaring).

I'm not an expert on SA processes but from what I can gather, it's a little more cut & dried than here. There's actually an excellent chance the little sh1t will do a decent stretch of time.

Just in time for a part in the prison pantomine Snow White so not all bad news for him.

Bet he's really crying now.

If the Christmas Panto is "Scrooge" he can apply to be Bob Cratchit's disabled son Tiny Tim.... who says "God Bless Us, Everyone" at their humble Xmas lunch.

Pistorius could say "God Bless Us, M'lady"... that would bring a tear to an eye!

Will he return to jail?

Yes. He will be back behind bars, less than two months after he was placed under house arrest.

When will he be sentenced?

We don't have a date yet, but it will be next year. The minimum sentence for murder is 15 years, but the judge does have the discretion to lower it.

Can he appeal?

Yes, but only if his lawyers are convinced that the appeal judges violated his constitutional rights. So it's a high threshold, and hard to meet.

He might as well start breaking all those stipulations put on his house arrest. He's probably done a bottle of whisky already this morning.

I think you can assume at this point he'll be legless. Ooops.
