Looks like I might be wrong about it being a militia, two of the shooters are dead, a man called Syed Farook & a woman called tashfeen Malik.
Farook was shooting up his work colleagues

They were armed to the teeth so this was well planned.

They targeted county government holiday function, this points to domestic terrorism.

When the NRA backed GOP rejects restrictions of weapon purchases for people on the no fly list, then you know there is something deeply wrong.

Whoa, hang on a minute. Is that really a thing - the Republicans oppose restrictions on gun access for people on your no fly list? What. The. f***.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

..this is going to help the American-Islamic Relations no end, he had two objectives then, one to get at his work colleagues for what ever reason and the other to enlighten everyone in the name of his chosen cod and chips.

For my money it's either gang related, or some nutbag terrorist cell of some descrition. Its the number of people involved and the description of their clothing that worries me.

Plus who would want to kill people at a party ? As for being conditioned, grow up you silly boy 3 armed men kill indiscrimantly and wearing uniform of some description, then made a getaway in one vehicle has all the hall marks of a planned hit. the leap to it being terrorists is not a big one.

And just to clear at no point did I insinuate IS just that some form of terror group must be involved, this is clearly the work of a belief system and in all likely hood not Islamic.

They dont tend to plan escapes.

The weird thing maybe is when I heard about this in America was that I didn't assume terrorism, but another American spree shooting. Which is odd, maybe, that anywhere else in the world the first thought I would have would be terrorist attack, except when someone, or a group, go out and shoot a lot of people indiscriminately in the USA.

There is something very wrong in the psyche of the US, that there are so many large scale shootings on such a regular basis.

Spree shootings always are well planned by the perpetrator(s). Its rarer for people to get up and think f**k it, I'm going to kill everyone at work. More usually its a simmering resentment that builds up over time into mental health proportions, and they cope with that stress by planning and prepairing, making lists, manifestos, declarations and so on.

..it appears Syed Farook was a bit religious in his religion, he had gone to Saudi Arabia and returned with a new wife

Wouldn't surprise me - It'll be interesting to see what the US reaction is if its an IS inspired attack compared to the usual spree shooting? Maybe given he attacked 'work mates' its a combination of the two. A lot of the spree killers tend towards 'extremist views and ideas', it wouldn't be a stretch for someone who was a Muslim to do the same.

..going overseas, then returning with a new wife doesn't sound too good, you mentioned before about internment during problems in the past, if we are going to stop all this nonsense how can this be done because I can't see any other way, it will be messy doing it with many bloodbaths because all the nutters will come out and expose themselves..but in the long run worth it I reckon.

Doesn't sound promising. I don't think Internment will actually work because long term it tends to catch too many innocent people in its web and gets used indiscriminately - Also problematically we're talking about a 'very long war' here, which means holding a lot of people without trial, indefinitely, which in itself is very problematic.

Used very selectively, but then that relies on sufficient evidence, which probably would mean it would be just as easy to convict them on 'conspiracy to commit terrorism' etc. Internment can work if you know who really is a threat, but then if you do, you could detain them under anti-terrorism laws anyhow.

Left the work event/party "angry", went home and got his wife and an arsenal of weapons.

Apparently they had a young baby too.
