Well yes and no, considering that Turkomen and Kurds are also mostly Muslims populations in Iraq, that have generally been targeted by IS. Also IS doesn't regard a lot of Muslim sects or theologies as being Muslim anyhow (IS are Salafist).

Its a bit like pointing to the Christian troubles of Northern Ireland and the Christians who were killing British troops.

Despite the fact that Turkey is effectively been fighting a war against Kurds for a decade - also mostly Muslim) and supporting Turkomen (also Muslim) factions in Syria?
