another stupid American import-like Haloween

Its not American, its just been Americanised to the nth degree.

It is; the Friday after Thanksgiving, which is not celebrated outside of the US, and a day on which many of the states have as a public holiday. It's another of their exports we could easily do without.

Its Halloween, here, the Celtic 'Day of the Dead' (and end of the year). Samhain (Sow-ween).

Strictly speaking, its a festival and holiday older than the United States. Which was around what we'd term the end of October beginning of November (so the end of October makes sense as date).

I supposed in fact it predates Roman Britain as a date.

That's what I celebrate each year. Not that its a week before something like Thanksgiving, but something that even predates the idea of an England.

Its no big deal if your in the UK, just don't go bargain shopping. I personally love it. From a business perspective I make more in 12 hours than the average teacher in the UK makes in a month. God Bless America

The only Thursday worth observing in November is the third Thursday of the month which is Beaujoulais Nouveau day.
Gives you an idea of what you are going to get stonked on in the years to come.

Au contraire mon ami. Quite the opposite I usually have very good sales. Maybe you should take up another line of work If money is your sole objective instead of getting yourself pissed off with your current employment. Just Saying like.

Amazon were decent last year for Black Friday sales - might be worth a try!
