Say's he's protesting about prison conditions. It's a shame the article doesn't go into more detail on this. I won't cast judgement until I know the reasons for and what brought about the protest.
Smashing up the roof is hardly going to improve them either. You don't need to cast judgement, because no one gives a f*** about that either.
Here you are Nick:
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Here you are Nick: Sorry mate, only explains why the bloke is inside, not the reason for the protest.

You could always find out what he's been shouting from the rooftops, that the article clearly states, instead of asking me to inform you. And he's not simply protesting, he's trashing the joint and roofs cost quite alot as do skylights. Not to mention the water it lets in. How much cost damage would a hole in your roof do in this weather? Now mulitply it by the building size and multiply it again for the massively increased cost of doing any building work in a functioning prison.

I thought you claimed, 'You don't need to cast judgement, because no one gives a f*** about that either' (well done for using a smidge of personal insult)

Just don't think you can complain or protest about conditions in prison etc... when you've taken someone else's life. You lose that right just like the other guy lost his life. common sense?

They would also probably be invited to tender for the refurb work to the roofs and other areas they smashed up in the first place.

Aren't they suffering enough without having to put up with Jeremy Corbyn knocking on your cell door canvassing for votes?

Might get more consideration if he didn't deliberately cause a lot of costly damage. Protest - hunger strike for example - but criminal damage is another thing. Edited by rob1969 (15 Sep 2015 8.27pm) No one would take any notice. Smashing things up tends to get some focus. Whilst people are prisoners, they are not animals, and cuts to prison and rehabilition services, plus a rising prison population haven't really been addressed by less spending and less services.
