Actually that reminds me I also saw Cregan and Co at the Boom Boom club and they were an excellent Rod Stewart tribute act (even though I don't actually like Rod Stewart that much!)

[Link]

They are back at the Boom Boom on Friday 25th September. Jim Cregan is a mate of Rod's and has written or co-written some of Rod's hits.

Supporting Crystal Palace since 19.45 on 29th August 1972 (approximately)!

Some of them aren't so good, though. Oasis were an absolutely sh*t Beatles tribute band.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

go to 'the venue' in New Cross/Deptford. They seem to specialise in tribute bands. Wear a stab-vest.

I went to see The Proclaimer a few years ago and the bloke standing next to him looked and sounded exactly the same.

I've always been reluctant to see a band that's not the real thing.

My judgement may have been clouded by a Tina Turner tribute I saw in Worthing who had a massive arse and a wonky eye!

In Menorca I also saw Fake That who were pretty dismal.

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

True Dermot.

The best Beatles tribute band I saw were called The Newspaper Taxis.

These two guys have really done the Everly Brothers proud. I have seen them several times and would still go and watch them again. They get gigs all around the world so shows how good they are.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

I like tribute bands.

We are lucky to have Tavistock Wharf close to us and have seen many tributes and originals including Uriah Heep and Barclay James Harvest.

Try ELO Again ( still touring and seen twice) or any one of the Genesis tributes who all put in a decent shout. Looking forward to the Floyd Effect at Tavi next Saturday.

Seen ELO Again twice, do have to say I thought they were very good and had the Faifield Halls rocking.
