Another transfer window closes and this bloke is still with Blackburn!?
I remember it took years for him to finally leave Huddersfield.

ages

He is a very good player - but sadly in a serious comfort zone, wise. Not the same as Austin (£85k per week). But not ready to move on up, sadly. And not prepared to forgo his cut by asking for a transfer.

Austin isn't even on half that, he is still on his original contact he signed at qpr in the championship.

Don't know where you get your info from but it's wrong,
Austin will have received £4,500,000 pa, or £86,538 pw, his net worth is £15,075,000, which he's earned from solely from playing football.

He was not on the same income last season, as the season before which was £2,096,000.

Thanks SB for this info. I just do not get how people like C.O.Y.E. can post such ill informed info on here. Drives me mad, frankly. Wastes our oxygen and our time.

And when you state something that's not right? Would that be the pot stating the kettle is a lovely noir colour? Stop being so judgmental and self righteous. If you don't like people not being right all the time, then it's time for you to stop using the Internet and go back to your Daily Mail.

Why would anyone chose to be a Seagull? The Eagle is a far superior creature.

The Seagull lives under it's damp pier meekly looking out, blinded by the sheer quality of the Eagle's palace.

When a poster corrects another poster and the first poster is correct or as in this case almost correct and C.O.Y.E. is clearly wrong, then I will post the info I have, when you don't like my posts don't read them simple as that.

Practise what you preach, "Except you're wrong. He did ask for a transfer this season when Boro wanted him, Blackburn wouldn't sell. He even went public about it", remember that comment.

It's not ill informed , he isn't on 85 grand a week , he signed a 3 year deal in the championship having just failed a medical at hull and no other concrete interest from the prem , that contract is due expire this summer , qpr despite being crazy with money wouldn't offer that , no doubt this contract contained promotion clauses , but I highly doubt he is on that sought of wage , neither me ,you , or mr bilko know it all , are austin or his agent , so none of us are privy to this information, so your Claims that I'm wrong is quite laughable.

That may be so, but in that contract will be clauses giving him an added income if promoted, and his registered income for last season was £4.5m, it's easy to check, I did, that's why I'm quoting that figure, if it was a different figure I would have quoted that.

His income, the season before last when playing in the Championship was £4 short of £2.1m, and that's from the same source.

Also do you remember who was manager at QPR when he signed, that's right the one and only Harry Redknapp who was buying players for silly money, and paying silly wages, why do you think QPR was beating us and other teams to players, because they were out bidding and offering wages we could not match, that's why their wage bill is, and their wage bill was £78m turnover was £60m thats 130% of income, that's why they lost £75m, and not because they were living within their means.
