They were engaged to be married, Stalker maybe?
Thoughts go to the family's of both!

Nutter from looking at the still frame that was caught as the camera fell.

She was engaged to someone else at the station, not the cameraman. Reports are that it's an ex-employee.

Edited by Stuk (26 Aug 2015 3.35pm)

They now know who the gunman is and at this moment there is a car chase involving 6 cars chasing the gunman.
They reported on CNN that they were to be married obviously this was incorrect. Apologies!

Apparently not.

Apologies again, seem I have it wrong again.
The gunman tweeted the shooting taking place very chilling to watch and his account has now been closed on twitter

The whole thing is horrific!

Shot himself!

Shame he didn't just do that to begin with.

A friend just posted this and it makes for shocking reading! [Link]

that is a staggeringly scary set of statistics... the number of mass shootings that don't even get reported says it all. There's a page full for August alone.

I'm not quite sure what else needs to happen in order to prompt a change in gun laws...probably one lone crazed gunman to take out the entire board of NRA

You're asking me what it's all about, and I can't tell you because I don't know what's going on myself.

If she been holding a gun whilst she had been interviewing and maybe an Uzi over the shoulder, as the NRA will advise she should have done in a minute a two, this would have probably saved her life.

We need to wait out the current politicians who s*** themselves every time the NRA says "boo". The support for "basic" gun control measures such as universal background checks is extremely high - among the public and NRA members alike.
[Link]

But such measures fail in Congress because the spineless f***sticks won't pass such measures for fear that the NRA will run a candidate against them at the next election. So more and more people die so that these c***s can keep their overpaid, pensioned, free healthcare for life-giving jobs.

It's absolutely disgusting.

It is safe for work, all the swearing is cut out. He makes some great points, esp about the laws in australia.

Another example of the dichotomy that is America; it gets so much right and so much completely wrong. I swung between thinking it was the best place in the entire world for parts of any given day, and the worst in other parts. I couldn't settle there, and not for want for want of trying. Too much of it was simply alien to my view of how a society should live (that's not a criticism; just my personal reflection.)

I find it hard to articulate myself when it comes to the gun debate. You can argue interpretations of the constitution, you can argue logic and you can debate morality but the truth is that guns are just wrong but change happens when the population is motivated to demand it and for whatever reason, American's by and large are disinclined to do something about the private ownership of weapons. Yes, the NRA are scum but for all their influence, America is not a nation of puppets. As Paul Weller wryly observed, the public gets (eventually) what the public wants.

And so America goes on, lurching from gun crime to gun crime. At some point, it will stop and the NRA will lose simply because America is civilised and civilised countries get there in the end. But I doubt it will be any time soon and not without a painful and bloody fight.
