I didn't know monogamy was that high on computer hackers' lists of morals. It's well above theft though clearly. As far as can see the hackers, 'the impact team'(?), seem to be complaining that the site was lying to its customers that the option to fully delete all their information was untrue. Still, can't help but smile. Theft over lying. Still pretty cocked up morals.

Ryan Giggs is bricking it.
Those would be the ones that would get exposed first, the Sun would fill its pages for weeks

Isn't it a bit late to be able to fully delete your details, after the site's been hacked. In all likelyhood your details now exist on at least half a dozen seperate hard drives. As for those using the site, unlucky, it facilitated the deception of others, and now those people have been duped. Also, the website really should have operated a system of bitcoin transaction if it wanted to protect annonymity of its users.

The good news is, as the data has already been obtained and presumably they have now stepped up their security controls, it's the perfect time to join up as a member.

As someone who's worked in IT for 15 years, I strongly disagree with this assessment. They'll almost certainly spend the next three months apportioning blame, then try to implement a series of impossible security proposals which will take care of the next six months, by the end of the year they'll decide that either business is decent enough not to bother or they'll go bankrupt and/or change their name. Either that, or someone will have simply realized that they shouldn't have default passwords on their servers (you'd be surprised how common place it is to leave them as default or set them to a shared name), and he'll change that, but then fail to realize that in doing so, all of the software running on the network will need to be updated, as they've hardcoded the passwords into programs). If there is one thing IT does well, its procrastinate over a disaster, and then make it worse.
