Yeah, now wait for the posts from the usual suspects telling us what a misunderstood chap Anjem Choudary is - and of course it was all the fault of the fascist policeman. Edited by derben (22 Jun 2015 10.01am) Can't think whom you had in mind in your fantasy land of thinking you know some posters' thoughts better than they do themselves Anjem Choudary is,IMO, a complete and utter self administered hand job merchant. Unfortunately,in the course of work-related matters, I've had the misfortune to have had to read quite a lot of his outpourings. Not a pleasurable experience!

Cant think who is more loathsome. Choudary or the Daily Mail. Slightly odd that they are in league in this story and suspect there is a little more to this than meets the eye

Is a daily newspaper more loathsome than a terrorist who want to turn the country into an Islamic fundamentalist dictatorship?

But should I welcome him as a neighbour? Up to you.People with polar opposite views (but both extreme) have sometimes made unlikely bedfellows. Stalin and Hitler being an example. Edited by legaleagle (22 Jun 2015 8.29pm)

Think your missing the big picture. You can find people who will say anything. Somewhere in these forums who thinks Pardew is overrated and would prefer Alan Mullery back as manager. That doesn't mean they speak for Palace supporters in general. Choudery is the same. Chowdery and the Daily Mail share a common interest in scaremongering the gullible.

What is it about him you cannot stand and why would that make you move away?

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!" |

If you think I've suggested you are Hitler, there's not a lot I can do for you I can't give details of a number of things I find particularly distasteful since they concern matters which are confidential. I abhor what I view as the particular strain of "salafist jihadist" political ideology espoused by him.I also abhor what I view as his publicity-seeking ways. But, even so,I wouldn't necessarily move away if he moved in next door but I wouldn't particularly choose to move in next door to him,any more than I would particularly choose to live next door to anyone I knew to be an extremely unpleasant individual full stop or,as an example, someone I knew to be active in the BNP. If someone was to be my proposed neighbour,I certainly would have no objections based simply on their race, ethnicity or religion

I mean it would be a worry with Choudary next door, you would never know when he is going to start beheading or burning people alive on his drive. The constant wailing of 'Allah Snackbar' would also get on your nerves.

Almost as much as your "wailing" on here in multiple threads about those of a different race, ethnicity or religion to yourself might get on my nerves Please think whatever you wish to about me being "like you" on the question of undesirable neighbours and environments etc. Personally,I would think I am about as like you in that respect as the Antarctic is the same as the Arctic. Some superficial surface similarity in that both have ice and glaciers, but in fact actually located at complete polar opposite ends of the globe. Anyway,I wish you a good night;been a long day today...
