Should be fired.

Got a mate who sells it to doctors and lawyers. I've known a few professionals on it.

Less dangerous than booze according to David Nutt and I'm sure you agree with him.

Not sure I'd agree with it being less dangerous than booze but it doesn't mean he doesn't know his economics.

His behaviour might not benefit him but he can either do his job or he can't. The proof is in the pudding. How does firing him as a result of the tabloids 'exposing' him help anyone?

He's an advisor to a government who say they want to outlaw all psychoactive substances. Yet he's smoking crack, which is already a class A drug. Doesn't show tremendously good judgement on his part and is hugely hypocritical.

Whatever you think about this government's economic policy, having a crackhead advising on it doesn't seem like the greatest plan ever devised. And it doesn't reflect well on whoever appointed him as an advisor in the first place. Could it have been alleged former cokehead George Osborne?

He'll have to go if it's true, just like the Co-op bloke, I forget his name, who was caught in a very similar crackhouse sting not long ago.

That makes him perfect for the job surely. You're not going to get far in government unless you're a huge hypocrite .

I think he'll have to go, but that's just another pointless event created by the absurdity of the UK Drug Policy.

So its not freedom of expression and personal choice? I thought it wasn't your belief that the state should be intervening in the choices of individuals and businesses.

If its outside work and isn't affecting his daily work, surely its up to him? Even if its ill advised, somewhat dangerous and addictive (not really a problem on his income).

Not actually true. In terms of harm to the user crack cocaine is actually worse than any other drug.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Freedom of expression and personal choice within the law of course, as you well know. You think taking crack cocaine would not affect his daily work? When taking the crack, he was in possession of a Class A drug - a criminal offence. Just shows how low society has sunk when people are saying he does not need to resign.
