I think it is a lot naff for a man to carry a tote bag. My wife bought one from Coles supermarket a few years ago, it had Coles on the side and we use it for shopping at Coles! A man should carry a man bag, on the basis that they are men.

What, carry a golf bag when out for a stroll round the shops! Nah. Go for a stroll around the shops with a golf bag and then go for a stroll around the shops with your ballbag hanging out. See which seems to be most socially acceptable. I'll concede defeat if your b*llocks are shrugged off as normal but everyone goes "Jesus, look at that fella with a golf bag"!
