Personally, I don't see Rhodes as a risk and eight million would be a good investment......But I don't think we would get him for that, more ten or twelve.

However, there are no doubt better investments out there.

Rhodes is priced for the big clubs, not for the likes of us.......As we did with Zaha.

Fair enough.

Defo wrong ball park, our biggest outlay will be £4/5m for a player and that would be a big ask. We'll be looking at a couple of older players on frees (Adam etc), youngsters on loan and a couple of prize buys around 4/5m

It all comes down to player judgement.

Personally, I think Rhodes's skillset transfers well between divisions.

It would all depend upon the price and more importantly what 1s available as an alternative.

Palace aren't going to be winning too many one nil games, Holloway isn't best suited to that game. So the attacking threat has to be realistic.

Murray aside, effective goalscorers don't tend to come cheap.

I think it's clear to most that Holloway isn't a defensive coach. He has said so himself this very season.

Keeping a clean sheet in the Championship is one thing the Premiership is another.

Holloway will play to his strengths.

Yes, and his team's... Unfortunately defending apparently isn't one of them! :P

Has anybody thrown this name out there yet?

Scored a load of goals in the championship, young and hungry.

Almost became a league 1 player with Blackburn.......

I would like to see this happen.

we would have to pay a lot for an unproven player in the premier league. If we are going to spends loads a money on a striker, then Bent would be a safer option, at least he has scored freely in the premier league
