Sickening end to what was until that point a very good performance. I'm not sure Tompkins was the best decision, personally I'd have brought on Hughes to add some more energy. But look, lets not all slate PV. He's got the team playing well, the fixtures are soon going to ease up and we'll make it rain. 3 pts on Sat I think

The goal had nothing to do with what proceeded it and everything to do with our ability to clear our lines and keep possession when given the opportunity, we had a hand full of opportunities during the whole of injury time where a bit of composure would have easily earned us two more points, when all is said and done though we look Frickin Saweet and definitely on the up.

My point was more about the importance of not wasting time in extra time when you’re ahead especially at places like Arsenal when there is undoubted pressure on ref to play every sec and much more if he has justification. Maybe I’m being a bit harsh on Gallagher as he did take a knock to head but I’d like to have seen him leap up and play out last 90 secs instead of giving us another 3 + mins to endure. Tbf he got a knee in the back of the head which would have been pretty damn painful. Just one of those things. Arsenal got the rub of the green with the ball falling to Lacazette at the end of the game. Arsenal being happy with a last minute equaliser sums up how far we've come tbh.

I’ll get over this if we beat Newcastle. There for the taking and no excuses.

Vieira’s subs have been fantastic in the main this season. Tonight he got it wrong with Tomkins. I would have brought Schulp on and play long ball to Big Ben and pack the midfield. You instinctively defend higher up the pitch. We have never been good a parking the bus. Edited by Bexley Eagle (18 Oct 2021 10.35pm)

Very disappointing to have that happen again but naivety like that is an inevitable drawback of lowering the average age and putting together half a new team. Let's not forget that we have basically battered Spurs, Leicester, Brighton and Arsenal in recent weeks and we're disappointing to 'only' take 6 points from that very difficult run. We also dominated tonight without our two best players and, once Zaha and Eze are back, I think we could start destroying teams. We've come a long way very quickly and are 14th despite probably the hardest start to the season of any club, if games were a minute shorter we'd be in the top 10. That's hugely impressive and despite how disappointing that ending was, we're in for a great season.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

We did look good though. I’m sure the stress of supporting Palace will be the death of me. Well if you’re going to have a heart attack have it at a game. Brilliant health care back up at all premier stadiums nowadays. Like that incident for the poor guy at Newcastle yesterday.

I'm wondering if the players or PV will learn more from the loss, especially on the heels of the Brighton fiasco. The biggest question for me is, who on the pitch was serving as our leader in extended time? SOMEONE needs to encourage his teammates to stay focused, energized, and play every ball as if the entire season depended on it. Still, it's a joy to see that our talented new players are meshing well with the old ones, and that they're allowing us to play more confident, assertive football.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |
