The reason we seem so reliant on Zaha is because Roy practically built the team around him. I doubt that any incoming manager would do the same once they learn he is not committed and wants to leave.

imagine what wilf could do with the eze, schluppy & olise making space and taking up the attention of the opposition.

I think it is time to let him go and keep building with youth. The money for Wilf would buy some good young players.

Imagine if we had sold him to Arsenal, two summers ago for 40 mil.

Add that to the AWB money and we took in around 70 million, two years later, 4 extra players later from that and we wouldn't even be giving wilf a second thought.

Too bad.

I don't think he's going anywhere, and I'm super happy about that.

Wilf has almost single handedly carried this team for years. I don't think anyone would disagree that if we didn't have him in the team we would likely have been relegated one of these last 7 years.

As for the person who said Roy built his team around him... every manager we've had does that. They all come in saying it's not about Wilf, blah, blah. Then when they realize how good he truly is they end up building the team around him.

I too get frustrated by him sometimes, but he will eventually go down as one of, if not the, greatest player CPFC has had (at least in the premier league era).

Don’t think £25m would go far. We’ve already been pledged £80m

A flawed legend,he rolls around on the floor moaning and winding up the ref,Grealish gets up and plays football. His ambition is to be a bench warmer at a top six club, give me Jim Cannon everyday. At £130,000 a week we are being had over.
