Another year of this and we are down without any doubt, we cannot be so fortunate again with so many games falling our way, we have no ability to pass, no ability to hold onto the ball, we have no clue about how to press and we have no idea how to run off the ball and I don't blame our manager one bit for this, the majority of our squad are simply not good enough. I am sure we have said that for the last few seasons and yet here we are a point behind Arsenal and safe with a quarter of the season remaining. Amazing really considering the dross we serve up week in week out.

f***ing hell. All I see in this forum is whine whine whine. Oh, we won the game, whine whine whine. This is so toxic. We are now a top-50 football team in the world. And all you want is to gamble that on a vegas roulette-wheel. Jesus christ! Unfortunately I cannot pick my supporters. Agree 100%, some seem to want Wilder who plays awful football and cant motivate his team, now destind for relegation. There is absolutly no logic to some of the nonsense posted.

IF we stopped trying to play tippy-tappy football and started to spread the play a bit, MAYBE we wouldn't concede possession as much as we do. That would MAYBE lead to more goals and more excitement, but in order to do that we need a change of coach. Another Whine-whine. IF time-machines were a thing we would have Pele. MAYBE this kind of football allows us to be in Premier League another few seasons, so we could finally have the new Selhurst Park. MAYBE this is good enough. For now.

I thought he played quite well at times. He's a quality midfielder, which is what we are short of. If he's truly 9mm then I think it's totally worth a gamble on him. I'm not sure what he's valued at but I'd be surprised if Chelsea price him as low as £9mil ? I agree he looked decent in the first game against us but thought he fluffed his lines a couple of times today.

We won the game, we sit mid-table, we are virtually safe with 9 games to go. Congratulations and Well done Roy and the team. We've been somewhat fortunate in a quite a few games but we've been well away from relegation all season and today was a day where our players should've been able to play together with a bit more freedom having key players back from injury, our players should be looking up with expectation rather then just hanging on and hoping as was the case in this game.

No. Just, no. It does not matter how "safe" you think we are, the players still play the game the manager gives them. If that is your gripe then fine, but we are secure and the development of Crystal Palace is going forward. If you want a magic gun, then call your local Saudi sheikh.

It's frustrating because we have failed miserably with the opportunity to build around Zaha, we should've really done a lot more with him rather then just rely on him to get us over the line, quite a disgraceful waste of his exceptional talents.

Now this is something I can get behind. Rather than have Zaha go (eventually), use the money from Wan-Bissaka etc. and build a top-7 team perhaps.. Use Zaha in a kinda Messi role, roaming between strikers an midfield, perhaps a 4-4-1 + Zaha or a 3-5-1 + Zaha

Like our stadium I think you'll find it's not. Call the Sheikh then. It is delayed yes, but as you will find if you go through the local records, it has been approved. Unfortunately we have Simon Jordan, not al-sheikh Simon Jordania. Edit: I actually like that we are not in control of oil money from the Saudis. Edited by Chaos (13 Mar 2021 9.24pm)

This is a really odd season, for reasons we all know, and very few teams are showing any consistency at all. Amongst the top teams Liverpool have lost 6 in a row at home, Everton keep losing at home, Leicester have many more points away than at home, Chelsea had a bad run and Lampard got sacked. The current form team in the division (after Manchester City) are Fulham and yet they are in the bottom three. Our squad is old, and yet we are having to play more frequently than usual. The consistency of our oldest player, Cahill, is nothing short of amazing, a free transfer incredibly. We have had more injuries than any other team in the division for many weeks now. Despite all this we have more points after 29 games than we have had in the top flight since 1990/91, and next season will be our ninth, yes ninth, successive season in the top flight. All this with making a net profit on transfers over the last three seasons. Well done Roy! Sorry MP, but we had 39 points after 29 games LAST season after beating Watford.
