Double what our top earner is on

I’m not saying he’s the problem but he’s part of it. He is one of basically every player we have who can’t pass a ball 10 yards,

He’s a good keeper but the panic within the team rubs off. It was the same problem Butland had at Stoke.

Souness summed it up well at half time when he was asked what we need to do to play further up the pitch and he answered that he didn’t think this (Palace’s) group of players could.

Let’s be honest, any hope of a performance or result evaporated with Zaha’s absence.

Arguments about whether Roy should have picked Benteke and Ayew also completely futile and sum up where we are although I would argue Ayew works harder, has better touch and scored more goals last season than Benteke has in three years.

City are flying but the biggest disappointment was the nature of the goals conceded from corners IMO.

The game came far too soon after the Arsenal match.

I thought our lads all put in a shift against a team of stars.

Mitchell is only youngster, and he did pretty well against Sterling. He’ll have learned a helluva lot.

If it hadn’t been for those two wonder-goals, the scoreline would have been more respectable.

Hats off to Ayew and Townsend for 110 per cent effort, but the same applies to the rest of the team.

1-0 down against a high pressing team so we go out for the second half to try and pass the ball around at the back which ultimately sees the whole of the 45 minutes played in our defensive third.
I was completely baffled by this considering it was different to what we did in the first half when we were getting into their half on quite a few occasions.

What I struggle with is we are losing by a large margin, we are being played off the park and not troubling the final third and you see Roy sitting there in his chair beaming with contentment like a pensioner who has just got a line in the old folks bingo.

He just doesn't seem to care. After the game he wheels out the same old twaddle and changes nothing.

Plan A is defend stoutly. Plan B kicks in when Plan A fails. Plan B? See plan A.

The last half hour we looked tired. We had less time off than City, an older and smaller squad, our talisman was missing and we had to shake up our defence again. I actually thought with the personnel available the tactics couldn't really have been much else, but while the players were fully committed they were poor in possession and we made too many needless mistakes. I think it was really a matter of how many we'd lose by once news came through that Wilf and Kouyate were out.

If we can get a few wins and maybe a couple of draws out of the next 7 games then we'd be almost safe for another season. I'm hoping Meyer leaving is a sign we'll bring in another creative player to challenge Andros.

With the personnel he had on the bench he was rather tied. I’d have preferred to see Eze in the 10 behind Bats and Luka on the bench but everyone will have a view.

From Roy;

“At half-time I didn't see us losing by a big margin. I thought we wouldn't get back into the game and we might have to concede defeat but I didn't expect to concede three goals in the second half.”

When your own manager has given up at HT then what’s the damn point. Is this is your attitude Roy, please do the right thing and resign.

You missed the part where he said it’d be naive of him to think we’d pick up points against Arsenal and City.

I’ve read the transcript of his post match and I think it’s a disgrace, might not be the only one.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Ok so we lost against a team far far superior to us in all respects. However what I saw was every member of our team doing their best and working extremely hard. The fact is we are nowhere near good enough to beat a team like CITEH playing the way they are. So let’s all chill out and save our criticism for when we lose to a team we have a chance of beating.
