Those influential changes referred to against Chelsea and Watford are valid ones but are not much to show for the amount of time Hodgson has been at the club and they seem an eternity ago.
With regard to trying other players in the squad they may not be good enough but we’ll never know if they’re not given a proper run of games.
Riedewald was one of our better players today but you just knew he’d be the one that would get the hook while a poor Luka stays on.
So disheartening for the player.
Even Hodgson fans would have to acknowledge that he’s not the best manager for younger players.
Before people mention AWB, he only played due to injuries and was so excellent from day one it would have been very difficult to leave him out.

True words. Time for big changes - SP where are you? Are you happy with this run of performances? Do your job please. Do you have any ambition? Come on - where are you? As for Sakho - what an embarrassing performance - Again! No passion.

A long time ago but the options were there.
Irrespective of what peoples' theories are about AWB once he emerged he was used and his pace enabled us to play in the opposition half more.
Personally I've seen enough of Meyer and Riedewald to form the opinion that they are unable to bring sufficient intensity or cutting edge than to make them anything more than decent squad players and no amount of subbing or playing in different positions is likely to change that.
It was noticeable that set piece delivery improved in Luka's absence when PVA and McCarthy were on them and the stat today around corners isn't great.
Guaita has been outstanding all season and should be cut some slack for his last couple of performances.

First weekend down our caravan this weekend. Watched the first half of the game then fell asleep. Haven’t seen a match report, but pretending it finished 0-0 and that the league has forgotten to add our point to the table.
Been spending more time on my phone than watching the last few matches on the tele. F*cking awful.

I was also one of the "shouting profanities at the TV" brigade yesterday. It was awful to watch.

Sakho just reminds me of Claude Young with his clumsy antics, minus the kamikaze sadism.

Joel Ward is not good enough. His long punts up into the drafty heights of the troposphere do nothing to penetrate the opponents defence, and I am tired of him stopping half-way up the wing, then passing backwards.

Zaha's just not too good for anyone at the moment.

Take off Mcarthur and put on McCarthy - tactical masterclass there. The only thing that did was to help out the commentator.

Milovojevic: something has to be wrong there, as I did not see him scythe down a single player during the whole game, and no yellow card wtf?

The only players I can really give any credit to are Jordan Ayew, who frankly just does not stop running. Ever. I also think Riedewald did ok, but then he got taken off.

Sorry. Rant over.

Seriously? The guy is a joke.

and of course his replacement would be Mr Dependable, a perfect keeper who only gets beaten by worldies, commands his area 100% and is top of the ratings for keepers (well maybe in Wales)

With respect, I will not be gloating if we are relegated and I am proved right.

With respect , you have become like the boy who cried wolf and lost all credibility, by the the time you are proved right no one will be listening.

All normal supporters are hoping our best run in top flight continues for as long as possible for the prospects of the club , not hoping Palace get relegated every year to make their prediction come true.

I don't want relegation - I'm frightened of it because Palace could go into free-fall like so many other smaller clubs.

But I also don't want the feeble football we've played for the last three games. It's like watching an old toothless man in a pie eating contest.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

I love the analogy. We have been toothless these last three games (well all season really if truth be known). How we've reached 42 points is a miracle - mainly down to Ayew, Cahill and (despite recent howlers) Guaita.

With the greatest of respect, I have proven over the years on HOL I am far more self-deprecation than self-promotion, accordingly I dismiss your assertion that I yearn for our team to get relegated (After supporting them since the 60s) so that I can wallow in the fact that I have been proved right and bellow out "Told you so" to the HOL multitudes.

I have given my honest assessments on our prospects and if my negativity has been unfounded I am delighted.
