It was certainly more attacking & exciting at least our wings ran with pace put crosses in for Benteke I which he scored 17 goals more than what we are doing or have done under Roy.

Roy’s not the problem, he’s not been given any funds for several seasons and we’ve been comfortable. The board should back him with some new players. Zaha wants to leave, but Palace have priced him out of the market. This season it’s been boring watching Palace but when I get my head right I recall losing at home to scunthorpe and Barnsley and suddenly things ain’t so bad. At least the board are being careful as surely no one wants administration again, but some excitement is needed. The sad thing is I didn’t go to the Watford game due to the drudgery of watching Palace this season, clearly with what has transpired since , I wish i had gone now.

Football without fans is actually ridiculous, I thought with the restart we might be a bit more exciting given we are virtually safe but apart from the Bournemouth game it’s the same old. That being said Palace being Palace are always liable to find a result against the so called top 6, but perhaps it’s best we don’t get the Europa league spots with the squad as is , as well as the fact no one will be able to go to the games if this behind closed doors continues.

Oh come on how can you defend Roy & his tactics they are a disgrace. His subs are predictable and the last 2 games if we had a different approach could have won both games.

Even the players look did-interested.

Time to go we deserve more excitement & value for money than what we are getting.

Look at Wolves as an example go through the first 11 and look how much they have spent not to dis-similar to us yet have a manager that plays attacking football.

Just watched Hodgson’s post match interview.
He said he thought Palace did well , the scoreline was harsh and he implied there was not much between the teams .
When asked about only one shot on target by Palace he said he’s always asked about this but to him shots on target are a meaningless statistic .
Maybe he’s always asked about it because it’s true and it’s the reason why we are near the bottom of all the teams in the league for goals scored and chances created.

There are those who opine that Hodgson can only work with the squad he possesses and given that he has secured survival on a limited spend he should be applauded for his efforts. The football might be turgid but the end justifies the means.

There are others however who believe that a different manager with the same squad might actually play a different more exciting brand of football instead of the dross we have been witnessing of late.

When we grind out a turgid 1-0 victory the actual performance is often forgotten in the euphoria of the win. When we lose on the back of a similar performance the opprobrium is very evident.

Roy going is not equivalent with FDB coming Fact is Roy is a luck of the draw manager whose squad output is less than the summ total of the talent he has Hence the narrow wins, narrow losses. Just remember this is an up or out league. Aiming at mid table as a strategy is the first step to relegation. Dont doubt me on this one folks. Respect RH and what he has done for us, but this does not justify accepting pending relegation and turpid uninspired football.

Not really defending just saying that Roy is working with what he’s got we’ve needed a strIker for some time and this didn’t materialise a new manager won’t necessarily be given any money to spend. So Roy has been able to keep us in mid table with no real funds over several seasons. It is boring and we do deserve better but sacking Roy won’t deliver that given the board will remain. Wolves have spent money over the last few seasons and are probably heavily in debt but for now their owners are happy to fund this but who wants to be Sunderland, Portsmouth, Wigan, Bolton etc in a few years. Next season will be a struggle without a few new players my only criticism of Roy is that when he has been given flair players they don’t seem to get a chance in the squad.

He has been given funds the issue is he has no interest in being the person who is using them this is something he has said many times he lets others deal with all that sort of stuff what sort of manager does that terrible.

Sorloth - 8/12m with addons taking to to around 15m.

Koutate - 9/12m

Mccarthy - 3/5m

Ayew 3/5m

Jach 2/3m

Our home record is awful he has not even tried to change anything to solve this.

Zaha should be dropped again shows how weak Roy is he keeps selecting out of form players no one is bigger then the club he should be dropped to the bench try something different.

The club needs to move forward it's gone backwards just like the passing how trying to play the ball at the back slow is progress is just baffling and to not even bring in a bunch of coaches whats that about we are awful at set plays and cant even counter attack anymore this is the manager.

Not really ... but teams make their own luck and ours is certainly out. I'd be more assured when Villa loses one more game.

I could see Roy leaving anyway if the squad is not seriously refreshed during the off season.

No creativity in midfield, which has been like that for a long time, and no regular threat up front.

We have signed some creative players, some on loan, but he refuses to play them. Could try a midfield with Jairo and Max, Pierrick up front would we do worse? And let’s not forget Camarasa who didn’t get a look in. Carassco who played and scored in CL Final not deemed good enough. Come on time has caught up with Roy
