Alarm bells ringing...three defeats and only one point from the last four games and Liverpool at home next.

We also have tough away games at Burnley & Watford, two teams playing with considerably more desire and attacking purpose than we currently posses. I can see us taking one point at best from these three matches.

All of this followed by Brighton at home. Another abject performance and a defeat like last season will see us Parting company with Roy after this game.

November was always going to be a tough month. Hopefully it'll end on a high against Burnley. I get the frustrations in being so passive and defensive against City, Leicester and Chelsea but when you see what they've done to other teams it's hardly a surprise.

If by the end of December's run of games we're still not laying a glove on the opposition then I'll join in with the pessimism.

Now onto a nice easy game against Liverpool next!

Havent we got a better squad than sheffield utd as they actually had a go away to spurs. WE are too negative for our own good . YOU CANT KEEP A CLEAN SHEET FOR 90 mins by staying in your own half

I am done with this. We don’t even try until we go a goal down. Not wasting any more money following Palace away until old man Hodgers is put out to pasture.

Chelsea are a better side, better players and on the day played very well.

WTF is Roy supposed to do against that, we didn't play badly just not as good.

Quite right. We set up only one aim - not to lose - but we still do.
Our best game was West Ham away and we had a go and won.
Bored with people settling for Roy and boring dullness.
I don't expect Europe but I do expect to watch some positive football.

We have been through a rather hellish groups of fixtures and so in being realistic, the results have not been entirely unexpected. Looking forward the Liverpool game though, while Burney and Watford away are tough, I wouldn't be surprised to see us pick up some points at one or both.

Our main problem is a lack of creativity, in all fairness we’ve had a lot less possession in the last few games but after the Liverpool game (as we’ll probably play defensively again) Meyer and/or Camarasa need to start

I don't think Camarasa will ever get a start. looks like Roy is wanting to off load him in January.
I cant Imagine why, he is supposed to be a very good player, but the writing is on the wall for him by the looks of it

We are the most negative team in the division.
As others have pointed out 6 goals from open play all season says it all.
Even supposedly inferior teams such as Burnley, Sheffield Utd and Villa commit more players forward.
I can’t dispute we are usually defensively sound and hard working but we only seem able to display these attributes at the total expense of any creativity, mobility or threat.
The game is about attack as well as defence and I’m fed up with Roy shrugging his shoulders and refusing to accept any responsibility.

Hard to disagree with this. One shot on target and zero corners yesterday!

We'll survive just fine, but it seems like all Roy wants to do is pick the most rigid team and game plan possible and then try it without alteration in every game for the full 90 minutes. He's a manager of proven quality and talent - I'd expect a little more to be honest.

Usual over the top disappointment on here after a loss. Chelsea were on fire, won 5 straight league games coming into it and will most likely finish in the top 4. No shame getting beaten away to them.

November was always going to be extremely tough, Leicester at home and Arsenal away were the only two games we could realistically target points from.

Yes, we are boring going forward but that’s because we have no goal scorers. Roy knows this so has probably realised the only way we’ll get points is to be solid defensively, which we are. Things will change if we can get a striker in, as they did last season when we signed Batshuayi.

The players still look motivated and well organised. After the Liverpool game we have a favourable run of 9 games where i’d expect us to win more than we lose. Nothing to worry about, Roy is doing well with what he has.

Those moaning about boring Roy are probably the same as those who were critical of Pardew for being too open at the back.
