He has become much too moody and hot and cold for me so overall it would be better for all if he went somewhere else, but to who and where and then at the end of the day he has to agree to go to whoever is willing to stump up a suitable transfer fee for Parish and of course his wage demands. If he does not go soon then his contract will be running down and his value will then plummet compounded by his age as we head towards 2023 when he becomes a free agent!

Should his contract run down then Moan U wont get a bean, however nor will we. Age is against both Wilf and the club now as teams look at younger players. Wage demands for me is a major stumbling block especially if we want top dollar for a moody, throw my toys out of my pram player. Can't see a team in Europe wanting him now. Could see him at Wolves if they sell Traore or Arsenal but why go to either? Like Spurs both will take 2 or 3 years to rebuild and will be so far behind Chelsea, Man C and ManU. I would like to see him move on but I think he will need to lower his expectations. JMO. Edited by Chubskip (14 Jul 2021 10.55am)

It's interesting that no one seems remotely interested in Wilf. I think that his antics this season have put off any suitors, especially with his wage demands. TBH I think his ship has sailed and he needs to accept that and work hard to get back to the player he was a few seasons ago. Then he may get some interest in the Jan window.

Personally I think that it's his wage demands that are putting off the sort of clubs that Wilf wants to join with his antics coming second. A word in his ear from the manager that if he doesn't tone down his histrionics he will be dropped should suffice but Roy wouldn't dream of subbing him let alone dropping him

What were the options from the bench for Roy? I think he's best when he is supported rather than put in his corner, but if he doesn't get his move then he does just needs to shut up and put all of his energy and focus into us. I can't see Vieira being as patient or diplomatic as Roy. Quite frankly I'm just sick of hearing him talk about wanting to move to a bigger club. Yes, we know. The world knows. Repeating it just sounds desperate.

We are a better team with him as opposed to without him. Totally agree with this. Even when he's not scoring, the other team has to devote all their attention to him. He creates goals for others all the time, and his passing is way under-rated. If he's gone tomorrow, I have no idea where our goals will come from. We will need to move on from Wilf, maybe as soon as January, or maybe as late as when his contract runs out. But right now, with a new manager, a complete overhaul of players, and with Eze out indefinitely, it is not the right time. Ideally, PV will try to build a team that can win without Wilf, while winning enough games with him to stay up.
