Not a big fan of marinio but credit to his interview with BBC he said he sent spurs out 2nd half to play one way but they did the opposite as Palace played so well he also said the Eagles deserved point.

Just watched Schlupp's goal again and I must commend the accuracy of Eze's free kick - very difficult to defend against, absolutely pinpoint into the danger zone. It has been said that our set piece has been lacking, not anymore!

I am delighted with a point against a good Tottenham team who top the PL table.

I feared the worst when we went behind but credit to the team for their response.
Top marks to Guaita for his tremendous saves.

A much better team performance. 16 attempts (5 on target) and as has already been said, we weren’t hanging on for the point, we were competitive throughout.
I did worry that for all our effort we weren’t going to find the break through but a terrific delivery by Eze and great positional play from Schlupp got us deservedly on the scoresheet.

Despite his misses I felt Benteke played well and contributed significantly to our overall performance. Yes he should’ve done better with the two headers but his hold up play and link up play, especially with Eze, is enabling us to look more threatening in the final third.

Vicente at fault for their goal but some fantastic saves as well and his Motm display ultimately won us the point.

Looking forward to having McCarthy back to challenge Jimmy Mac and also Tomkins alongside Cahill, although Kouyate continues to do a job for us at centre back.

COYP...really want to see us push on and get the win at West Ham on Wednesday night.

From what I've been reading, McCarthy has been fit for a while now and not making the squad. Each week, team news doesn't mention him and Roy never states he's out injured.

Please correct me if I'm wrong though

He is not showing on Physio room. Bit concerned about Ferguson. Still out. Looks like Connor Wickham will get his pension in there.

I asked the same question a week ago and was told that he had been granted compassionate leave as one of his parents had dies

He’s probably a bit concerned himself at the way Clyne is bedding in. It’d be nice to see him though!

I see one of the news outlets slated Clynes performance yesterday. I didn’t think he did that badly considering he was up against Son?

I agree. The Son / Kane pairing have looked a lot better in other games. Not to criticise Ward but doubt he’d have done as well.

Clyne is nowhere near the player he was which is to be expected but he's doing ok and should now be given a longer contract. I know hes playing to order but he and PVA are very narrow and basically inviting the cross all the time. It nearly cost us in the first half when Spurs put in cross after cross. He spends more time in the RB position when we are in possession but all in all im glad he's back
