I'm just back and I'm not 100% convinced Riedewald could be considered as a left back. He certainly tried but the further forward he got the more panicked his play became. He was pushing forward a lot of the time which meant Sakho had to come across to cover. It was on one of these occasions that he was left exposed and whilst trying to recover pulled something. Sakho looks an utter liability. His knees or hips are gone as he just does't move well unlike Tomkins who is absolute quality. I didn't think Norwich did very much at all, they had a few moments but nothing that made me think they would get a second. If we had come away losing that match we'd have been very hard done by. As soon as we scored they completely went to pieces but managed to break up play and waste time to save themselves. There were some very strange refereeing decisions, I think Norwich certainly had the rub of the green in most decisions.

Delighted with the draw. When was the last time you thought we would?

Any idea what the points per game ratio of those managers is? I'm rubbish at stats, but it might be interesting. Pardew 0.71 at the end of his time with us. Hodgson 1.37 this season. Edited by Tickled pink (01 Jan 2020 10.35pm)

Grateful for the draw. Had the possession but created few chances. But considering the injuries and the number of games played over a short period, the team did well. It will be interesting what the team, especially the defence, will be on Sunday. We could had 3 maybe 4 youngsters in the side.

They hit the bar it very nearly almost went in, it would have been not unfair if it had. we knocked on their door very loudly but never really stood a chance of getting in until Wickham found a key and it unbelievably fit, we were somewhat fortunate because although we looked comfortable moving towards their goal they looked ridiculously happy breaking us up and deliriously drunk running at our defence.

Good result Unpopular opinion, Riedewald is better than PVA at left back Watch reidewald and he shows the man outside by being side on.

Draws are better than they appear as the other team only gets one point. It’s the wrong stat to look at win ratio in isolation. Unless of course your glass is perpetually and irritatingly always half empty.

I also thought Ridewald was great - tenacious, quick and intelligent. I think he should play full back and keep his place when PVA and JW are fit. Meyer is alert and clever. Norwich found him a handful, but he lacks defensive bite, Instead of tackling, he just hangs out an ankle. Unless he adds some solidity to his game, he risks getting a broken leg because his challenges are so flaky. However, he was playing well enough so I was surprised he was subbed so early in the second half. He lacks strength all over the pitch, given space to move he does well, not given any he struggles ..needs to drink some of what Zaha drank to improve his power.
