It was meant as a bit of light hearted p**s taking directed at myself. The fact that people on here are trying to pick holes in my profile, and aren't calling out offensive comments made by somebody is ridiculous. If you haven't already noticed, no one but you seems to have found the comment 'offensive'. Not even the women on this site..... Can we all now please get back to topic? Thanks!

Other than the red card decision, the ref was fine. Tactical fouling to stop teams breaking and blocking the keeper from distributing the ball quickly are part and parcel of the professional game. I saw some stats recently that show Man City (surprisingly) were the biggest offenders of tactical fouling. When you're in and around the opposition box and lose possession, its usually a good tactic to go for a soft foul. Gives everyone a couple of seconds to get back into position and prevent a break, and in that of the field you're unlikely to get booked. I'm sure we do it as well but we all wear rose tinted specs. Teams that rely on the quick break like us feel the hardships of fouling much much more then Man.City who are able to find spaces with quick slick accurate passing having the funds at their disposal to buy such players who are excellent with it, hence their mischievous behaviour when faced with teams doing the opposite, very hard to mix two differing styles into one team.

They actually had 3 bookings I think. But agree, thought he had a game best described as inconsistent. At the game I thought red card and no pen, watched the highlights and then thought both could have gone either way. For what it's worth, appaently the VAR report said that had either of those decisions gone the other way (a yellow card or a penalty) those decisions would also have been upheld, so effectively they were both 50/50 decisions that we were on the wrong end of but in real time understandably so. Had the referee have erred on the side of caution with the red and allowed VAR to do its job then he stays on the pitch. That said, it wasn't these that I disagreed with at the time, just felt he was very inconsistent in what he gave and what he didn't. There will come a time when all the refs do is dish out the information they receive from others better placed and informed then themselves, they will always make mistakes and we are now at the beginning of the end of them thank god, VAR has got every single decision right so far.

That is a matter of opinion. There have been some subjective decisions which have been open to debate and when such subjective decisions are made this is inevitable.I happen to believe the introduction of "Clear and obvious" in decision making has been the catalyst for debate.

Regretfully I think it was a red, he was out of control with studs up and the dying swan act of Smith merely put the icing on the cake for an early bath.

Actually, Becky, I think Alex has made a valid point. I'm not sure that it's correct to say nobody else agrees with him just because they haven't commented. Reminds me of the Harry Enfield sketch "Women; Know Your Limits" And back to topic - the game on Tuesday night wasn't the prettiest game of football but the result was well deserved. It

Actually the comment was offensive, as rather than just say 'the summarisers were clueless', the original post called out their gender. That will be offensive and to call that out was correct. Yes - there is a huge amount of political correctness around these days - but that type of comment belongs in the 1970's.

That two of the summarisers were female is entirely coincidental. They were still clueless. And cluelessness knows no barriers. If anyone finds that offensive, then that’s their problem and certainly not mine. Anyway, back to topic. Great result, fellas. Well done!

Agree, I want to hear from people commentating premier league games that have been involved in top level football. They have played at a speed and skill level that is below the national league standard. If a couple of Bromley town players were on there, I’d be as equally uninterested.
