All this stuff about the free market ... Is this their tack for the next election, in direct contrast to the quite frankly facile allusions they will use about a commie Labour government.

Free markets are essential to our freedom.

Comrade McDonnell openly admits to being a Marxist, which is another word for a Communist.

It's relevant. People need to know the kind of people who want their vote.

People who praise the IRA, are members of CND or hire communists for their election campaign should be avoided.

Says who?

Anyway plenty of other threads to froth about that on.

Quite happy to yawn over on them.

Now. Tory Conference?

There is a part of me that hopes they do get in,within 6 months the country will be back to 79.
And all these promises will be like f***ing unicorn s***.....every tom dick, and Mohamed ( got to be inclusive now),will be pushing for 10% pay rises.

Oh the glory days of 79....ffs.

The old condescension, revealing insecurity.

Am I naive? No doubt you think I am naive for voting for BREXIT as well or for wishing to control immigration.

My 'naivety' has served me well so far.

You're a past master so let's not go there and no, i have no insecurities.
As for BREXIT, you must surely know by now that i'm on your side? We have enough on our plate without supporting the EU crock.

That'll be the result of a global energy crisis coupled with the end of the Bretton Woods in '71 (look it up).
Anyone who thinks that the Tories (or any other) could have contained these two issues is.......just wrong tbh.

Don't be too hard. These people are only ever given half of a story. It's not their fault.

The end of the Bretton Woods system IS the cause of the majority of the financial problems we ALL face today. It's not the only reason, but the main reason imo.
I just wish more would wake up.

I hate to break this to you petal but you don't run this site.

It's important while watching the Tories to remember what a bunch of scum bags the opposition are.

I'm glad to help with that.
