I can only say positive things about the whole starting eleven last night, the football is beginning to look more like a PL outfit. Sadly, once CB came on we lost our pace and threat up front and that put the defence under more pressure in the last quarter, hopefully pulling Edouard was for match fitness reasons only, as he is definitely a much more mobile, higher workrate and visionary striker than CB will ever be. Our priority has to be to sort out our goal scoring problem as we will always be a relegation battle if we continue to struggle in front of gaol. Hopefully as Edouard become more use to the physicality and pace of the PL and this in turn will go a long way to solving the goal scoring problem!

With Eze, Gallagher, Wilf and Edouard, the team should have one goal a game in it and sometimes more. I worry that they doze defensively. The Liverpool goals were dozy and the BHA goal was dozy. I also wonder if the team can play like this for a season. Will be impressed if Gallagher manages to.

The more I look at VG’s kick out it makes me angrier. He has a very weak kick out anyway but yet chooses to take a short run up and ends up kicking the ball like a 4 year old in his aul fella’s slippers. It is not the only reason we drew the game but when there is 30 seconds on the clock that is criminal, especially when he had all the time in the world to think about it. He is not a class goalkeeper as a lot of people think , he is an average goal keeper. Who can’t catch, awful in the air, can’t kick and is terrible with the ball at his feet. I am sure DF is on the lookout for a new keeper because he is a major weak point in our team, especially with our new style of play.
It wasn't great, but the biggest mistake there was how a simple block back managed to put the rat through on goal. And to be fair to him he finished it well. Lets just be happy that we have a team that's great to watch, and not dig out anyone who makes a little mistake eh?

I agree Eze is needed but cannot see him back this year and therefore worried where will be at year end if we continue to struggle in front of goal. you are quite correct, we do seem to be a bit dozy at the back at critical times, we need Mupay to be picked up by a market last night but instead they all stood still for the split second which is all it takes for a class striker to score, we need a leader at the back like both Cahill and Dann were and that at moment is not there!

This with bells on!! It might sound a bit silly but I now have a spring in my step on a matchday and look forward to it!! Not at all silly. If football isn't an enjoyable spectacle and just descends into tribal allegiance then there doesn't seem much point does there? Enjoy that spring in your step!

PV would have learned a lot last night on how to see a game out, don’t bring Tekkers on. Overall we bossed it, we had the ball, we had the game, apart from the last 20 seconds.

I was thinking about that. When VG got injured perhaps, PV should sub him for Butland to run down the clock as we had one more sub available to use. We didn't though. Benteke, Kouyate and Schlupp had already been brought on.

I think Cuehi is an absolute leader. Just so young and inexperienced.

Eze will be back next month is he keeps progressing as he has done. I haven't seen a playback of their goal yet, but at the game I felt that our central defenders were totally deceived by VG's poor kick which was quickly turned into a chance. Cahill and Dann were indeed ' Leaders ' but I doubt they would have prevented the goal. Marc Guehi has captained England U21's recently, so I think there's some leadership qualities there.

Guehi and Anderson are both immense, and are already showing their class. The Liverpool goals were largely Jairo being Jairo. And last night was a bit of a freak, should have done better, but in fairness it was a sh!t kick out, a great return ball, ratty anticipated it brilliantly, Kouyate for some reason was between the centre halves, and Guita was in no man’s land. But please let’s not be calling for Dann and Cahill FFS. Guehi and Anderson are pivotal to us playing the way we do.
