Do you mean the International centre back, who captains his country?

Exactly I don’t understand the negativity around Kouyate playing CB, he is consistently our best defender. Rate him more as a CBZ than midfielder personally

Which is a concern because he is slow, often gives the ball away in a dangerous position and cannot win a challenged header for love nor money. The amount of times we have commented on this last point is unreal, which for a central defender is rather worrying. Take a look at his effort in the 74th minute last night when Leicester should have scored from a badly defended corner. Kouyate was nailed on to clear it, yet he didn’t even jump!

My summary in the cold light of day would be that we played okay against a good side - who weren't at their best but who are nonetheless 3rd in the table.
We know our issues - can't score and we have an ageing back line plus there is a lack of inventiveness in midfield.
These things can and hopefully will change soon.
However - my questions would be -
Why Ward over Clyne - is he still injured - Ward is past it at this level.
Why no Schlupp - is he still injured?
Why - when to me anyway - Ayew and Reidewald weren't having their best games did Roy not sub them early in the 2nd half - why wait until the game is over?
Benteke was generally poor and surely Mateta could be given a run out?
Likely we are safe but still Roy perseveres with the same old stuff.
He needs to be proactive and not reactive but i am not sure that will ever happen.
I think the result might have been slightly different had he been more positive because for sure we troubled Leicester throughout the evening.
A point dropped in my eyes.

Wonder what line-up Roy H.present for our next game? Same old, same old with Man City having a field day at Selhurst Park, I guess....

Yep... And when we make no attempt whatsoever to make even a slight game of it with the same predictable side and completely roll over and get beaten with no fight in us the Roy lovers will give it the usual 'It's Man City what do you expect, 'We're lucky to have Roy' blah blah

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Against Everton, the substitutions he made we great and showed ambition. He brought on Schlupp, Mateta and Batshuayi as well as playing Eze through the middle. We ended up taking the game to Everton and came away with a point.

I cannot for the life of me understand why he doesn’t have the same sort of ambition anymore. He seems terrified!

Yet again, Eze surged through and we scored from it. He is our future, our main threat now. Let’s build around him, not stick him out wide.

You said it "same old, same old.

I have watched last nights performance time and again and then Roy trotting out the same old excuse "we were undone by a wonder strike".

As Gary Neville said last week "enough is enough"

If he came out, held his hands up, and said he was too slow to make a change I might have respected him more.

It was a good strike, but it was one of several chances they'd carved up in a few minutes. One was going to go in.

I thought we did okay last night and could have got something from the game.

I don't understand why Roy is playing PVA if he is leaving. I also think it is time to give Mateta and Bats a chance up front.

One more point

He has played Tyrick Mitchell at left-back but he is a 'Work in progress" and found it challenging at PL level. He would benefit going on to loan to a Championship club for experience at first-team level.

PVA has never been the best defender,is better going forwards but in our system he doesn't get forward with any regularity.Perhaps he is a better wing-back than full-back.

Sorry Willo cannot agree with the first paragraph., has Mitchell found it challenging ? Probably but not to the detriment of his performances. What would sending him to a Championship club achieve? Apart from leaving us without a recognised LB should PVA leave.
It would appear PVA is leaving so why insist on playing him? He is giving nothing to the team, Mitchell could be getting the experience

We are on different pages apropos Mitchell.
"Work in progress" and I wasn't totally comfortable with him at left-back but could certainly see potential.

Gargantuan step up from the Academy to the PL and I do feel that playing regularly at a lower-level will aid his development.

Stale and predictable, I doubt we'll get over 40 points by season's end. We are at that point whereby change is inevitable, keeping faith with the same team and management would be tempting fate and the drop.
I expect Zaha to leave, and all the past it duffers having one last ride on the Palace gravy train - thanks for your service, but it's time to move on.
