Good points. Our next manager will have a major team building exercise, Lampard inherited a good squad at Chelsea and did okay. Is he the man for a major overhaul?

Hardly a credible source as it's just a clickbait pimp with no inside knowledge giving us his personal opinion

Although there are inaccuracies in the article, not least the absence of any suggestion that Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman control transfers, a lot rings true IMO. The pressure in the bottom half is more critical than the top half "problems" of Champions League qualification and "too many games". I don't think someone so young and inexperienced in this area will know how to handle it or have the pragmatism to instill confidence in the players when the inevitable poor run comes.

Not helpful as in who will be the next manager though, just an opinion as you say. Was on my feed so I thought I would share.

by letting him stay for another year if he wants to. I will take a safe pair of hands at this point in the club's progress over style

If Lampard does take the job what about the club insisting Lewington stays on as assistant. He knows the players inside out, the youth set up would make sense.

Don't want another season of Roy,hopefully he waves goodbye arfter the Arsenal game with thanks from the club and supporters.

Who ever the new manager is (if there is one), will have an almighty job rebuilding the side. There's quite a few in the squad who are just not up to it in this league. Be it age or skills a few need to be axed, but management rewards loyalty not performance hence our lack of squad depth.
