I got nostalgic looking at our forwards, reminded me of Aylott, Barber and Irvine.

Benteke has scored more than Ayew and Batshuayi this season.

We are the worst definition of a one man team there is. We cannot move on until he leaves even if it means going down and rebuilding with young hungry players. We have let him carry this team on his back for 4 years. The lack of ambition at board level on the pitch is so obvious.

If we go down we won’t be seen in this division for a very long time. Our only hope is to do what we are doing and stay in this league and somehow rebuild while we are in it.

Was City that good??

Three direct mistakes by Palaces
McA stupid long cross field pass leads to their attack to create corner which leads to 1st goal,
Luka pass direct to City player, out for corner... goal!
Corner, we know how that happens from another mistake then Townsend, gone to his head being back at City thinking of his wonder goal.....
Why keep passing back to keeper which leads to free kick which 4-0.

So how good was actually City?
Cut out 4 mistakes and no goals
Did City create goals no.. they seized on mistakes.

Did Palace try to win a point.... maybe
Can we cut out the mistakes, no not against top teams.
Did we learn anything about Roy and his tactics... SFA

Give the opposition defence nothing to think about and the result is the main central defender scoring like he's the centre forward.

The rose tinted glasses for Guaita need to come off. This season he has been pretty poor and tonight he was pathetic.

3-4 times his passing put us in trouble, he was almost caught in possession and the last two goals were down to him. Pushed the pull into the middle of the box for Stones and should never be beaten on GK side from a free kick.

We were beaten before a ball was kicked with that line up and game plan, however, if you are going to get anything from these games then the GK has to be on form and he simply isn’t.

I am beginning to think the same myself. I know some of his saves have been world class this season but his ball distribution and lack of presence at corners is costing us big time. It will be interesting to see if Roy gives Butland a run.

Forget tonight. They are so many levels above us it's untrue.
West Ham and Wolves home next two. Need a win in one of those games and we are fine.
Let's all be realistic, we have a chronic lack of investment and the squad is old. I'm glad Roy said Wilf had a 'knock' we need him for the next two important games. Finishing 13th and above this season is success.

Entirely predictable.

Once we went 1 0 down is was all over.

Didn’t force their keeper to make a single save in whole game.

No cards .....no need for any it wasn’t really a competitive game. Just defence versus attack.

Guaita wasn’t great, but then they were all awful and mainly in the second half as we defended well in the first half. He had no outlet as City pushed up on our defenders putting them under pressure as soon as he gave them a pass. There was also no outlet up front to hit it long. The midfield didn’t help as well. He had no help from any of our players and whoever he gave the ball to that player had no easy pass to make as no one was making space for a pass.
