This is the worst, most ineffective dross I can recall. Players earning more in a week than I can dream of earning in a year while I pay for 4 Season Tickets and travel over 180 miles for every home game. Frankly, I can't quite afford it and sometimes my monthly DD bounces but I find a way to ensure my boys and I get to see our beloved club. It's the way of the world and it is my choice, but....

We have been suckered into league points and position equating to a level of performance that we enjoy/are satisfied with/impressed by. Only now are we all starting to wake up.

Whatever goes on behind the scenes, it needs an effin overhaul. Paying fortunes to players who no longer deserve or earn their wages is a surreal and disrespectful mess.

Instead of claiming to understand that we didn't risk investment during the transfer window yet ignoring the plain fact that we have massively overpaid, deadwood non-assets that need moving on; just proves how deluded we ALL are. Get a grip Parish or pass the reins to someone who will. Brave is paying the crap off and playing the likes of Woods, Daly and others, just once in a while. Oh but we got shot of them didn't we....

Very sad.

Name one.

He's given our club it's best ever run in the top-flight in our history.
We're still a small club doing well in a big league. Nothing will change until we relocate and those plans were knocked back by those outside of CPFC's control.
Parish/any Chairman can't fulfill every want.

Some of the most pathetic whining I’ve seen on here for a long while. God only knows what you t***s are going to do when things really go tits up? Maybe a warm bath a razor blade and some Amy Winehouse?
We lost a competitive game to a one in thousand goal keeping mistake and had decent chances to score. Get a f***ing grip.

It does amaze me what i read as well. Sheff Utd had no chances until Guaita's mistake and we had some good ones. Tomkins really should have scored and the outcome should have been a whole lot better. Thought we lacked a bit of guile around their box in trying to open them up at times which would have been the main criticism.

It’s more the fact that you look at the bench and due to lack of investment, we had no one who could change the game. We had to bring Kouyate on FFS when chasing a game. Why we let wickham go I have no idea.

It isn't the loss but the manner of the loss more than anything as well as the lack of investment in the team.
I support the team but not the manner in which they are being coached to play by the Manager.
Sheffield United were rubbish for 45 mins but much better after half time because they learnt a lesson and we didn't and add to that - they look like a TEAM - we don't sadly!

What I find pathetic is all this condescending rah-rah from overseas 'supporters'. Commit yourself to the 33 home games that I've done in the past season and a half then tell me I've nothing to whinge about? Statistically the most unproductive and impotent team in the league.
My comments are little to do with losing one match which we were actually deserving of a at a least a draw but more to do with the methods of the board and team management to continue surving up the dross.

Such opinion is my own mate and doesn't need your approval or ridiculous advice towards suicide. Sick.

The disappointing thing for me was we had a very different team v Sheffield than Southampton yet the dire negative style of football was the same.
It appears we have lost our nerve in going forwards. We play so many moves from attack right back to the keeper in an attempt to play safe against a very well organised team. Let’s be honest for the last two games we have been terrible to watch. No points yesterday was unlucky but we are going to have to start playing more positive again or we will continue to slide.

Could it be that the opposition have worked us out now and how to contain us. If so we need to change our tactics and style while we have breathing space.

The basics of football haven’t changed that much in all the years I’ve been watching it.
When on the attack and in a crossing position one of your attackers should go to the near post, one to the far post and at least one of your other players should be on the edge of the area in case of a deflection or cut back to pick up the loose ends.
This maximises your chances of at least one of your players getting on the end of a cross.
We had at least three good crossing opportunities yesterday with only one of our attackers in their area so it’s pretty easy to defend the cross.
This was not just yesterday , but has been prevalent for much of the season.
Why can’t Hodgson grasp that we won’t score goals when on the attack if we don’t get players into their penalty area?
Some say we played well yesterday but I can only recall their keeper making 2 saves - a decent one from Mcarthur and an easy one from Benteke.
We didn’t put them under any real sustained pressure.

I really struggle to see where our next goal is coming from we barely create any decent chances our attacks are slow and laboured and when we get the ball in the box players are scared to shoot so we try and walk the ball in.

If there was a league table for backwards and sideways passes we would be top.

When the opponent's tactics are to foul, hold and kick Wilf out of the game and refs believe he's acting so don't protect him, what can you do?
Price we pay for being so completely reliant on one man.

I can’t fault the players, they played to their strengths. A desperately unfortunate goal conceded by our ever consistent goalkeeper contributed to our loss.

However, my continued concerns and frustrations are directed to our manager who picks a team and uses tactics that contribute to our dull, mediocre performances that at best target a low scoring win.

Benteke - the fella doesn’t score goals, why persist in him?

McArthur, Mcarthy, Luka are all similar players who just don’t have the skill or quality to score or make things happen on regular basis. Why play al three together.

Riedewald must be fuming, playing out of his skin, awarded player of the month and his reward? Dropped!

Kouyate should have started over Mcarthy. Mcarthy’s last two home performances have been dire.

As for the game. We go 0-1 down and there is no plan b to bring on any goal getting players like, Townsend or Meyer. Not until it’s too late (80 odd minutes).

It’s pathetic. We need to do some due diligence and research for a possible new manager a the end of the season.
