If it is and we buy him what will the total cost be? “The club will pay Tosun’s £100,000-a-week wages, as well as a £1m loan fee. There is also set to be an option included to make the move permanent for a fee of £20m.” None of us will ever know the exact amounts involved. Edited by EddieMac (25 Jan 2020 10.48pm)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Tosun deal - Is this true?' by bexleydave Where is this from? I know dazza in the other said there was negotiation over a 10 million buy option at the end of the loan period but that Palace eventually agreed to 17. If it's 20 million, it sucks.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Tosun deal - Is this true?' by bexleydave My understanding was it would be a £17m fee (equivalent to €20m Euros).

£17/20m for a player who has scored 10 in 2 & a half PL seasons. Scintillating. Think we'd do better keeping Sorloth, his record in Turkey is commendable.

As long as it isn't an obligation to buy then he has 6 months to prove he is worth whatever Everton have asked for and that he is worth £100k pw. I'm on the fence as it stands given his age, wage and previous PL form and unless he plays out of his skin I think this might just be a short-term thing. Here's hoping he proves me wrong.

Unless he scores a lot of goals between now and end of season I would rather not sign him. There is definitely better options out there and we have just been forced into taking him now due to it being January and our current lack of strikers. Same goes for Bats*** from Chelsea.

His movement up until Southampton was pretty good. He then didn’t get a touch of the ball, apart from skying it over the WH end because, well, we were utter shyte. He’s only played 2 and a bit games isn’t it? Edited by Rudi Hedman (26 Jan 2020 1.57pm)

And yes, just two and a bit games. As I said, we have six months to get a balanced picture. It will cost us in the region of £3 million+ to get that picture, but at least it should be clearer!

I’m not sure how much we’ll see of Tosun when Townsend and Schlupp return.
