This lot seem to have something in common with the football team actually. Lots of build up, expectation, dodgy stuff going on in pubs and clubs then when the competition begins, a bunch of s*** bottle jobs.

Footballers and cricketers need to have the passion of the England rugby team when they play for their country. When they succeed they raise the mood of the whole country, when they let us down we get understanderbly angry. They earn massive money and should sweat blood when they put that English shirt on.

Football and Cricket are diametrically opposed in certain ways as in footie club appears to be more important than country whereas in cricket only the national team really matters to most people. I think that most England cricketers have the passion and desire but they just aren't good enough unless playing in familiar English conditions

Pathetic, feeble shower of bottle jobs. 3-0 to Australia, Ashes gone and heading for a whitewash. Pitiful effort.

Australia regain the ashes...3-0...bowling us out in 72 overs after making 662 - 9 in 179 overs. A complete and utter embarrassment.....like I said, overpaid and soft cricketers who seemingly can't play on any other surface except home ones.....and terrible selectors. How to win tests on flat Australian pitches?.....bowlers with pace and bounce.....England's response....medium pacers......our cricketing system is filled bottom to top with overpaid 'jobs for the boys' mediocracy. I don’t think there is a lack of pride or passion, just outplayed by a better team. We struggle in Australia simply because we don’t have the raw pace in our bowling attack. We’re much more effective in English conditions. Hopefully we’ll get Wood in for Broad for the 4th test. A few of the big names have really flopped. Cook, Root, Ali & Broad have let themselves down. I fear it could be end of the road for Cook but I hope not as he’s been a tremendous batsman for us. Broad never got his tail up, I hear he has a terrible attitude to his batting with a ‘it’s not my job to score runs’ mentality. Used to be handy with the bat until he got one in his boat a couple of years ago. Needs to toughen up. I think we’ve competed in each test it’s a shame we couldn’t maintain our dominant spells. Malan looks the real deal, Stoneman could be the opener we’ve been searching for, Vince has shown class at times but needs to stop getting out cheaply. The newcomers have generally done well, there’s reason to be optimistic.

Broad looked a shadow of himself in the summer in England and he has carried on in that vein.I agree he could be useful with the bat but he looks like a No 11 now.Cook and Root have really let themselves, and England down.

Went from 368-4 to 403 all out then conceded nearly 700 and lost by an innings. HTF do you lose by an innings after being 368-4 FFS? Total s***e.

In the 2006 series at Adelaide we scored 551/6 declared in the first innings with Collingwood scoring 206 and Pietersen 158 yet still contrived to lose
