What I am saying is that Diane Abbott definitely did do what the photo says, and actually more because it wasn't only 80 million or 300 million but about 3 other figures as well, whereas Teresa May almost certainly was not personally responsible for 'losing' 114 files. So, my reply to nick's question was that it is wrong.

I don't think its racist,"foreign looking" doesn't equate to people of a different race...she could be talking about Poles or Romanians,as some of our friends on here often do and then say they are not racist because they are discriminating on grounds of ethnicity rather than race. She is also clearly not saying that people against freedom of movement are of this view, not people of a particular race... Sop,she may be over generalising, she may be right (or wrong) but she wasn't being racist.. Amazing how some people try to focus debate back by knocking Abbott rather than face up to the plain racism alive and well within our society. Edited by legaleagle (06 May 2017 10.10am) Not what is amazing that people like you deny that she has said racist comments..what about the nurses from Finland, if that was someone other than from your beloved left wing you would be all over it racist this racist that.....That's what f***s people off the sheer hypocrisy.

Think she meant "fewer" if she was talking about quantity. Unless she genuinely meant we want foreign looking people but slightly less foreign looking. Perhaps Mexicans with the big hats but the moustache would be over the top?

I was not aware re nurses from Finland.I have looked it up now:That was well dodgy. But,it doesn't make my argument any less pertinent about those who bang on constantly about immigrants but are always looking to turn the other cheek about the barrage of racism directed towards immigrants."that's what f***s people off the sheer hypocrisy". There are any number of dickhead politicians out there, take Nuttall as one,the leader of a party some "concerned about immigrants" posters on here have a lot of time for. But,they post barely a word about him but spend much time frothing about Abbott. Why could that be? Maybe they just don't like her fashion sense?

Maybe they just don't like her fashion sense? Abbot is a member of the elite who has made a career about race...ie her race helps her win Hackney. She gets away with it as the 'progressive' wing of the Labour party (most of it now) protects her....because that's the home of identity politics and victim culture. She doesn't really care about the working classes though...Not when you look at her actions...I bet if she was in a room with them for more than five minutes she'd be looking for the exit.....I'll give it to Corbyn, misguided as he is on some things, he does actually give a monkeys about the working class. What racism directed towards immigrants? Sure I have no doubt there is some but do you have any examples?

And yet I'm not the one who has made 'racist' comments. Poor attempt at diversion even by your standards. You are, beyond a shadow of a doubt, a total hypocrite.

You really need examples of racism towards immigrants in this country?!...blimey. "A racist incident, according to the police, is any incident, including any crime, which is perceived by the victim or any other person to be motivated by a hostility or prejudice based on a person’s ‘race’ or perceived ‘race’. In 2013/14, there were 47,571 ‘racist incidents’ recorded by the police in England and Wales. On average, that is about 130 incidents per day." YOU GOV poll in 2015 asked UKIP voters if they had racist views:42% said yes and 28% admitted to having racist views. The people who felt attracted to the same party you voted for. Racial prejudice in the UK? Shurely shome mishtake
PS.So her electorate in Hackney voted 55% for her because she is black (and where white people form the majority of the local population)? And there were no working class people in Hackney within the 55%?Can a black person not be a member of the working class in your promised land? jesus wept some more As I posted yesterday,Abbott is a hapless politician. So much worse than others who don't get our anti immigration hordes on here frothing with the same indignation.Certainly not.Take that clown Nuttall as an example. Interesting how some on here bend over so far backwards to not unconditionally say racism against a black person is unacceptable full stop (the "she deserves everything she gets" brigade) but seem so tolerant towards the sins of "their fellow volk". She is IMHO,notwithstanding being an awful politician, somewhat more sinned against than sinning. As I said before, must be because people don;'t like her dress sense rather than because she is a black woman. cue much frothing from the HOL volk Edited by legaleagle (06 May 2017 3.00pm)
