Also proves my point, we spend money when we need to.
We have needed to have planned succession for several seasons and we never had unlike BH&A for example who can lose several key players at huge profits but they always seem to have someone to replace those sold on without any adverse effect on performance. They also manage contracts very well, so that they can sell a player on rather then allow contracts to run down and then let them move away for nothing. The AWB revenue from MU was never used for transfers more likely it was used for planning permission!

On the BBC's thread they are printing all their interviews with managers ahead of the weekend's fixtures. Just about every one of them touches upon transfers, except for the interview with our manager, who just talks about Brentford, despite the fact we've only spent money on one player, an untried, untested youngster, who's injured. That's about all I can muster so far as a moan but it is a bit depressing if not infuriating. His MO is always kind, generous comments about the prospective opponents. He thereby deflects difficult questions. Read nothing more. Also I prefer his approach. If he gets excited about incomings all that happens is west hams enquiry agents start sniffing about.

Actually they are better than every team £ for £. Brentford also good but not as good, and we are comparable. If you want rubbish, ask Everton fans.

We could do with one or two who don't need to go out on loan and all that, but are ready at 18 to take on the world. That's my dream tonight.
