I very much doubt he had any personal input. This kind of thing tends to be handled by assistants and just signed off. Someone is due a rollicking.

Johnson got away with several similar incidences, as is reasonable. Mistakes happen. It wasn't these kinds of thing that did for him. It was the constant lies, half-truths and denials.

I think you're being too forgiving. Mistakes - certainly if there's a string of them - shouldn't happen at that level.

If it had been Boris then there would have been much frothing at the mouth, calls for him to resign and so on, but because it is One Knee then it doesn't matter.

Didn’t realise how much a plot of land had increased in value! YEH right Ffs and he wants to be PM.
Still only trivial and no intent to deceive.

To be honest the biggest surprise is anyone coughing up £720 for a director's box but that's probably a tax benefit to both sides.

Gordon Brown - not Keir Starmer - played a blinder by calling for emergency cost of living measures.

Beginning to despair of Sir Keir.

It has to be a former PM who is alert to the coming crisis, not him.

It's odd isn't it? You'd think he'd think he'd be all over the opportunity to score some points with such an uncontentious subject.
Maybe he knows something we don't and lawyers generally don't ask a question to which they don't know the answer.

Good points.
Also, little innocent Gordon did lasting damage to our pension funds by taxing their dividend income, when he was Chancellor.

But that doesn’t matter to leftys; he’s not a Tory. We are getting into trump territory with the tories, any one, any party but….. until they arnt in power and tax and living standards drop for all in the private sector. State sector employment will go up though just to get votes and to make sure that fines for driving at 31 in a 30 are collected

Why has it been left for a past failed PM,Brown, to come out with proposals to deal with the cost of living crisis?

Where exactly is that windbag Starmer when you need him.Has he been sidelined such is his mediocrity ??

Similar thoughts crossed my mind. Because with the s***-storm about to break, you would have thought a leader of the Opposition would have been all over it like a rash.

But there is something bloody odd going with the generally blase attitude towards what is clearly, based on even a basic understanding of the fact, a horrendous winter ahead.
