Happy for Mitchel today, showed maturity, awareness & guile with no fuss, just an honest DEFENSIVE display. Him & Schlupp can form a great partnership, trouble is, Shluppy is poss out for 4-6 games with a hammy. Saying that, when Eze came on, it didnt faze Mitchell one little bit, he knew what he gad to do & did it(imo) very well. PVA? Who are you. Mitchel is much more compact, for PVA to work he needs to concentrate when our moves break down but today I feel with him playing having just witnessed Sheff.U's display he would quite easily have allowed us more opportunities with his forward runs, such a shame because PVA and Schlupp are actually very similar.

Good win but can’t get too carried away. Sheff Utd look dead and buried already. Great work rate by Townsend and McArthur. Hopefully Tomkins will shore up our back line and he looked much better today. Benteke and Luka were the weak links again. Why not? Short memory of being thumped at home by a Sunderland who were rock bottom. This game showed how far we have come. Thoroughly professional job done and a gap grows from the bottom teams.

Although I’m not defending Wilfs punch, he was definitely fouled. Must be so frustrating. Sadly he’ll never learn probably why we’ve still got him. Thank you God. I don't think it was the foul that pushed Wilf over the edge, but something that Bogle said to him after he got up

Even when we win some people still have to have a go at Roy. Pathetic. Mate If you think that vindicates Roy and his tactics you're deluded..!! Sheff U are bottom of the league with 2 points after 17 games for a reason. Today they could only name 6 on the bench, including a 16 year old and with a centre half in central midfield. Yet still midway through the first half they had the majority of possession and were bossing the game. It took Schlupp's injury for Eze to get onto the pitch - upshot one of the best goals I have seen from a Palace player. If Roy can't see after today that Eze needs to be starting every game and he needs to find a way to get the most out of him then there are still serious problems. Do I have any faith that Roy will see that - no..!! Anyway we let's enjoy the moment. COYP

Eze made it look soooo easy. Even Maradona couldn’t do that. Like Pele. It’s like he ghosted it. No one got anywhere near him. Sign of a top player. Our man is gonna be a super star. And in his MoM nterview he was so unphased. Superstar. AWB went before we even had a really good chance to look at him lol ...there is going to be a lot of interest in this chap, involving serious money!

This was a perfect time to play Sheffield but we fully deserved the win and a clean sheet. We look to have a better shape with Tomkins and Mitchell in the back 4. You watch Mitchell he is quick and he makes sure he is goal side of the opposing player as much as possible.Really pleased to see him back.... As for Eze sublime run and finish, could you imagine if the fans were there to see that.

The actual fact is ..Eighteen fouls! Sheff.U fouled us every single time we got them on the break and the actual fact that they didn't foul Eze as he did that thing was the biggest shock of the afternoon! lol You seem to be having a really awful miserable time following Palace and I'm not sure why to be honest.
