Last few weeks. have you been watching the same player??

didn't go yesterday but he has been nothing but awful when ive seen him this year. Im a season ticket holder by the way!

Agreed. He seems to have got most of his game back together over the last few weeks and is a key part of the team. He provides the perfect foil for Sako and Wilf.

Roy knows the score and knows his value to the team, despite his lack of goals this season.

are you deluded?

Read the vast majority of the comments in this thread...

ONE ok game and all the Benteke fans come out the woodwork..

You may be happy with a striker with f*** all movement, a football brain that doesn't exist and the work rate of the councils road workers but I am not.

He's been s*** all season. I suggest fella you take off those Benteke tinted glasses and open your eyes and ears to the crowd around you.

If you want a striker who flicks the ball on and nothing else you need to up your standards

LOOOOOL this was funny haha. To be fair, he's been extremely frustrating i agree with you for the mot part, and your hilarious comparisons (no sarcasm intended).

I do have to say over the past few weeks his hold up play, first touch, and little passes have been far better, as well as his ability to win aerial duels. His finishing has been f***ing s*** though, so i can see why so many still lament him. For me, hes never going to be a drogba that can do absoultely everything, we know his strengths, play to them and he'll help the team out.

You'll be amazed what one goal can do to his confidence.

As the old adage says form is temporary, class is permanent and Tekkers is despite his current consistent form issues a class act.

His touches and awareness proves that - as does his tally of 15 last season, equal highest since Andy Johnson in 2004.

A strikers confidence thrives off of goals - we all know that - look at Zaha and Sakho.

If Tekkers gets on a run - the confidence and goals will come flooding back in abundance..!!

The form we are in someone is going to get a spanking fairly soon - with us and Tekkers taking his chances.

Its his movement and work rate that gets on my tits!

(plus his finishing, plus his lack of strength for a big bloke, plus him having a go at everyone else, plus the fingers in the ear, plus the penalty)

When do you ever see him busting his nuts to get into the box. If you haven't got a brain, you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

I'm just not having him. Peter Crouch can flick the ball on and has better feet......

Just saying.........

MotD highlighted his closing down of Man City players which allowed us to implement Roy’s plan, So, maybe not as lazy as some are suggesting. And this is what Roy had to say after the Watford win.
“But he still did something quite incredible in the last minute, chasing a ball down back to Gomes and forcing him into a poor kick out of play, which effectively killed the game for us,” said the manager. “When you’re a coach, those little moments mean a lot. It gives you a bit of pleasure.”
You might not see what he does but Roy does and, fortunately, his is the opinion that matters.

JayJayChill you simply dislike Christian,General dislikes Wayne and your entitled to your opinion.
Fortunately Roy disagrees and plays them both.

I used to dislike the Flying Lump Of Lard Kuqi.
Now he was worth critiscm.

That's because he did f**k all else the whole game , he still had some energy left at the end of the game...he was shocking yesterday, Sakho was running past him to get into the box while he just stood still, I understand his confidence has gone completely, but surely you try harder when thar happens?
