Think he may have shot his load so to speak with that revelation. Not sure how any decent Republicans will be able to vote for someone now who bragged about sexual violence toward women. A lot of abstentions or spoilt ballot papers and no shows from what was supposed to be his own side, i reckon. Each one of those is now an indirect vote for Hilary. Blimey. A lady PM at the same time as a lady President and we have Merkel too. It's pc gawn maaad. Edited by Kermit8 (08 Oct 2016 8.04pm) Merkel ain't gonna be around for long.

How coincidental that something Trump said eleven years ago in a private conversation came out on the same day as the latest Wikileaks dump of Clinton's emails. I wonder which revelation is more serious? You'll have to do some research on the email leak to find out, as it hasn't been reported that widely, surprisingly.

There will be more where this came from and I expect Pence to drop out before long. Edited by blackpalacefan (09 Oct 2016 7.01am)

Innocent banter in private is one thing, but spoken by the potential leader of the free world is totally unacceptable, and Trump should be dumped.

It is pretty typical of modern politics that something someone said a decade ago in a private conversation might decide the presidency.

The problem with this argument is, however, that it ignores the Republican Party's longstanding attacks on Hillary Clinton's husband for similar reasons, despite the fact that Bill is not running. Furthermore, the Republicans are being hoist by their own petard when bringing up the issue of marital infidelity. They have been hammering that despite Trump's multiple affairs. They look silly for raising the topic, especially as a key part of their backing and funding comes from the Christian Right. This represents a clear double standard. Last, Trump was describing actually sexually assaulting women and expecting to get away with it because of his celebrity. That's a bit more than typical "banter".
