Is the leave poster similar to the Nazi one? Yes or no. That is the only point I am making. You can suppose all you like, a facile line of argument.

Shall we search through the archives for socialist posters that look a bit like Communist ones?

Do stop.

This is the most depressing thread.
If people cannot see that the racist divisive lies of the Brexit campaign and by Nigel Farage in particular have not legitimised and made mainstream views that are totally abhorrent to the majority of most civilised people living in western democracies and that the vicious bile that permeates social and mainstream media over the last few weeks does not encourage and incite people like Mr Mair, then I despair.
I have been very sad about the whole referendum thing prior to the murder. The poor remain campaign, which has failed to expose the torrent of lies and misleading statements in the press and by the campaign for Leave coupled with the depressing tone which has been divisive and continuously dehumanises "others" creates the environment where vunerable people feel compelled (whether acting alone - or as I would strongly suspect in this case acting with other like minded individuals - Mr Mair has been quite clearly Radicalised) to murder people who hold a different view from theirs. Even more depressing is that the views that singled out this MP for a violent murder were Compassion, love, fairness, and inclusiveness.
I truly despair.
When countries put up walls, dehumanise individuals - whether scroungers, migrants, gays, blacks, muslims, Christians, the disabled - then we are only steps away from the gas chambers. This country is great because we are tolerant, inclusive, compassionate, value human rights, the rule of law, open democracy (where you can go and chat to your MP every week); and these values we have given and continue to export to others around the world.
We must defeat the haters. Whether they are ISIS, homophobes, racists, petty bigots. We must "out" the people that want to divide us for their warped view of humanity. We must stand in solidarity with all people that are oppressed - in any way. For Jo's sake love and compassion must win over hatred.
Really thinking of leaving the country that I love deeply if the haters win. It will not be the country that I have grown up in. As I say this has made me so sad. Many of you will disagree with me - but you are welcome to your view - but don't bother replying to my post because in truth I don't give a s***.

Is where I switched off.

Polly Toynbee declared that 'Brexit supporters have unleashed furies even they can’t control' and now we've apparently caused a murder.

Fcuk all to do with me, any other supporter of the Leave campaign or even the most ardent patriot.

Not in my name.

Try to learn something from the sick events of the last few days please rather than cheap point scoring.

You can Bore off too.

Kermit was "cheap point scoring" not me.

Try to learn something from realising how lucky you are to live in a country where stuff like Thursday happens very rarely, whereas in other parts of the world your life is regarded as worthless if you don't adhere to the laws of the Koran.

Oh yeah.... and I know you will read this despite your flounce... but you've stupidly lost the right of reply without looking like a plonker... LOL

Unfortunately Hoof, I don't think you are doing yourself any favours. You are an intelligent man, argue the points, tell him why you think he is wrong.

I'm fed up with the idiots on this thread.

I'm reading the autobiography of Frankie Boyle and decided to adopt his attitude... if you don't like what I say tough.

And besides.... he said he wasn't interested in a reply.

I'm happy to debate with you and anyone else that isn't a drama queen or flouncer.

Just a quick look on that outpost of Leningrad that is the BSS and the swivel eyed loon, illogic of vitriolic left wing spin on their version of this thread is quite jaw dropping. The hypocrisy is staggering and their blinkered rhetoric is lamentable.

It is appalling bad taste to link this directly to the Brexit campaign and somehow accuse Farage of stoking up hatred.
The sad irony is that it is exactly this kind of ridiculous attitude that has probably lead to this nut case blowing a gasket and killing.
It is the sickening arrogance of the holier than thou left that I find most detestable. If ever I had any sympathy for their corner, it is fast evaporating after their shameless use of this tragedy for political gain.

Total bloody hypocrites.

You can borrow my Frankie Boyle book Hrolf.

It gives you coping strategies for dealing with plonkers.

(basically you tell them to fcuk off)
