As I have said many times. According to science, there is only one race, the Human Race. All else is just politics.

Well given that race has no real scientific definition of meaning or value, I pretty much agree (although one could maybe argue that by fact of the necessity of having a Jewish mother, that in fact Jewish as a racial group is better established than more traditional forms of race, such as skin colour).

Quite agree otherwise, its a load of old separatist bollocks, created to justify division. We're the last of the of our genus - Homo Sapiens. We seem to be more concerned sometimes about trying to extinguish our own species, than save it.

Are there 3 brackets with varying degrees of acceptabilty then?

Racism
Anti-semitism
Anti-zionism

Seems a disparity with those naming Sadiq Khan's unsavoury allies being accused of racism.

I just can't see it all being down to Palestine despite the usual defence. Maybe Jewish people don't look foreign enough to deserve the usual minority sympathies.

A letter has been sent to the Guardian news paper by leading Jewish members of the labour party :

"We are Jewish members and supporters of the Labour party and of Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership, who wish to put our perspective on the “antisemitism” controversy that has been widely debated in the last few weeks (Labour’s antisemitism crisis as Livingstone suspended, 29 April). We do not accept that antisemitism is “rife” in the Labour party. Of the examples that have been repeated in the media, many have been reported inaccurately, some are trivial, and a very few may be genuine examples of antisemitism. The tiny number of cases of real antisemitism need to be dealt with, but we are proud that the Labour party historically has been in the forefront of the fight against all forms of racism. We, personally, have not experienced any antisemitic prejudice in our dealings with Labour party colleagues.
We believe these accusations are part of a wider campaign against the Labour leadership, and they have been timed particularly to do damage to the Labour party and its prospects in elections in the coming week. As Jews, we are appalled that a serious issue is being used in this cynical and manipulative way, diverting attention from much more widespread examples of Islamophobia and xenophobia in the Conservative and other parties. We dissociate ourselves from the misleading attacks on Labour from some members of the Jewish community. We urge others, who may be confused or worried by recent publicity, to be sure that the Labour party, under its present progressive leadership, is a place where Jews are welcomed in a spirit of equality and solidarity.

It's a sad world and the more I see of it the more I want to contribute to separatism by separating myself from most of the human race.
We have learned nothing from history and probably never will.

Typical politics. Corbyn and McLoony have rounded up some friends, and friends of friends, to try and make the issue look less serious than it is and hope that it will vindicate their action of not taking any action about the anti semitism that is rife in their party, because taking action would piss off their core support in the Party, I.e., Muslims, ultra lefties and other assorted loons who support the destruction of Israel and appear to really hate Jews.

No sale Gusset.

What about the Welsh?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Are there 2 people called Ray Sirotkin?

I'll bet they're queuing up for Rica Bird if the name lives up to expectation. I can't find a pic from googling it though, so she can't be that much of a "leading Jewish members of the labour party"

Following on from your Googling, it appears that Professor John Yudkin (the last name on the list) died in 1995.

Well they also have a bishop, and a priest, so presumably the rabbi is necessary for the party punch line.

In fairness, I never really understood how you could really be very left wing and religious (well at least mainstream religious), what with the opium of the masses and the general dismissal of religion in left wing theory as a means of controlling and implementing control over the working classes.

I'm surprised actually that the labour party isn't more religiously sectarian, than just anti-Semitic.

Well at least no one is Islamophobic in politics....
