Ouch, that was a painful ending. On the plus side we played some very cultured possession football that will be even better when Eze returns.

The beeb said there was "tussling" between fans at the end. Fantasy right?

And I’m sorry, that just has to be a wind up if someone is saying the BBC awarded Wellbeck with MOTM?!

That is what their website says - but then again on their TV news report this morning it was all about Brighton's point and nothing to do with Palace at all.
DEFUND THE BBC!

According to the commentator Brighton had a player called Cucurellia. I suppose when he goes to Spain he orders paellia.

I don't normally comment on games but thought we played quite well last night and it's a shame that we lost two points due to keeper errr from someone who is normally very reliable.
As an afterthought I wonder when we will see Will Hughes

We should already now starting to sort out the future of Conor G. and do whatever we can to keep for a looong time. What a player he is - no cheating, no diving, get up straight away even if hacked down, full of energy and running, good vision, passing and ball control excellent. And boy, he knows how to tackle.
He scored both against West Ham, hit both the post and bar vs Brentford, "assist" for both Zaha penalties (Spurs and Weed) - just the complete package. As a certain Thierry Henry answered when asked what he likes about Gallagher: "Everything!"

we need to make Chels an offer that will seriously test their resolve.

Gutted wish it was the other way round we scored that goal, but i think Guihi feel for the oldest trick in the book heard a shout of leave it so he did, a 25yr old Guihi would deal with it learning curve for him
ok goal kick wasn't good but we still should have dealt with it, played so well lots and lots of pluses, but we did over hit that final ball alot if we got 50% of them right we would have smashed them.

I think Eze and Olise will be the missing links to help Edouard do what he can do. Zaha and Ayew just couldn't find him with balls to feet in the box, simple 10-yard passes was all that was required but they were stray on too many occasions. I'm buoyant because it's still early days, we have quality players to come into the squad still, and we've managed to overhaul our playing style in a short period of time with more to come. Many said it needs to be evolution not revolution, however I'd say we're closer to the latter after watching last night.

Now that the dust is settling after the disappointment one thing we should all agree on: finally, and on balance, we really are a joy to watch..

VG is a class goalkeeper.

Yeh he scuffed the kick, but it happens. Calling for Guaita to be axed from our lineup is absolute nonsense, it’s natural to be seriously annoyed at that last minute goal but he saves us about 10 points per season, easily.

I cant really blame him for the goal we had more than one bite at dealing with it. But i would play Butland because he is better all round especially on crosses, that is Guaiti biggest floor.
I have never said anything about his shoot stopping but his handling of crosses is very poor, I made a comment on another chat that he is one step away from being a Chris Day the older fans know what im talking about

3 failings.

Guaita silly kick
Benteke trotting allowing the defender to pass forward with no pressure
Cuehi sleepy

Basically 3 players thought it was won.

I actually found Benteke the most disappointing.

Benteke should not have come in in this game. I’d imagine PV was thinking he would be good for defensive headers but it ended up being like a man down. PV got everything right last night except his choice of substitutions.
