Would you take a Straight swop, Iwobi, Davies and Kenny for Wilf, i would

I have never been overly impressed with Iwobi and I thought that Everton had taken leave of their senses when they paid a sum of £28 Mill rising to £34 Mill for his services.
He hasn't set the world alight at the club!

I really think it is time to sell Zaha & re-invest in youth.

I completely agree with Willo on Iwobi.

Could be interesting to see what happens this season if no-one comes in for Wilf. His form last season varied but he was always in the team and rarely if ever subbed even on a bad day. That’s not good for any player. I can’t see PV keeping him on the field if he’s not playing well and if we have Eze back and Olise playing he may just have to fight for his place . Might do him no harm to realise he’s not indispensable.

I am not expecting this scenario.
Perhaps a club or two might offer an amount which is totally unacceptable to CPFC or try to tempt the club with a part-exchange deal.
I will be very surprised if no club contacts CPFC for his services.

i Think the Problem Wilf has is No other club will pay 130k a week for him, he can wait two years till he is 30 for free and get maybe 60k a week or realize he has missed the boat and sign a new contract with us on about 80k a week, the only chance he has is Dortmund or PSG for big bucks

I very much doubt any club would pay this amount for his services.

i also doubt somebody will pay that, if they dont like the prices they can go shopping elsewhere then!

we are not a charity, wilf still has 2 years on his deal, he is the clubs biggest asset & a proven PL star.

He was once worth more than we'd get for him now but he is certainly not worth £130k a week on recent form. I hope someone comes in and gives him his "opportunity" and we get some money to reinvest in the team.

I think Parish would take £40 million for him this summer, but even at that figure I'm not sure there'll be many takers. Anyone watching him in the second half of the season will have seen a drop off in performances. He struggled to beat one player let alone two, he couldn't score, he wasn't assisting. At his age those signs would be a big worry to a possible buyer. Possibly he was carrying an injury, but again, at his age that could set alarm bells ringing. He has no resale at this point in his career so anyone buying him will need instant results and his poor second half to the season will have provided little confidence that he could deliver.

From a Palace fan perspective I hope Vieira can re-energise him and make him believe in us and what we can achieve. The worse possible outcome though is he reluctantly stays and spends next season with a face like a smacked ar$e.

It’s just a shame that by putting himself up for sale every close season, he is letting the club, the fans, his team mates, know he thinks he is to good for us. It’s ironic , that was the taunt we fans used to direct to the opposition. But it is the fact of the matter..
His value will decrease for every year he remains, the club have to accept that. But if we are talking about his true value to us, it is always in Wilfs hands. The question will always be is this player that is probably hurting because he doesn’t want to be here, and could easily resent not getting his own way, actually now giving enough to the team. Up to now it might not be valid to think that, but will it remain the case ?
Viera, would not seem to be the sort to accept the situation, if he thought Wilf, was to preoccupied with personal needs to be having the best influence on his own efforts to create a youthful side intent on making his and their own mark . It seems to me it would be best for all if Wilf, could get out, but someone’s got to really think they need him for that to happen, and pay a realistic price.
